Hugo Chavez propping up Castro is on a par with this propaganda effort. Of course, Hugo is not dependent on Castro for his paycheck as the staff of Senator Johnson certainly are. More than one of his staff are, without a doubt, using this time to figure out how they can succeed him.

It happens all the time. Usually the wife inherits the seat, but not always.

Robert Sheets Byrd is next in line for the Presidency after the Flying Pelosi.

Let us pray for the health of all three people ahead of him.

I hope the senator recovers but I suspect this puff piece is greatly overstating his condition. Pelosi will do all she can to keep him in the senate and lies are not out of the question. He should resign.

I am so glad for his family it must be wonderful to have him back.

I really find it hard to believe that he can come back as a functional senator and he really should step down.

How can he be expected to make a informed desicion?
Democrates are expecting too much out of a man
who has a long recovery ahead of him.

Being mentally impaired has never been considered an obstacle to being a US Senator, especially a Democrat one.
