HR, nobody should ever say 'all' and for that I apologize. I'm in San Antonio and there was some very nasty press last March 2 [Texas' Independence Day] with headlines like "Forget The Alamo" [see mysa.com]
I'll see if I can find it and send you the link. It appears that there are many - not all! - Hispanics who firmly believe that Texas still belongs to Mexico.
I would be interested to see how many of those "many" are greater than 2nd generation Americans. I would bet it is few. This is why Hispanics cannot be counted as a monolith anymore than German-Americans vs. newly-arrived Germans versus German citizens in Germany could be during WWII.
I get your point and you may be right. I know that La Raza was mentioned in the article. I couldn't find it and I think it's because their site doesn't archive that far back.
