Sad to say but she knows those profits will be paid as dividends to shareholders, many who are retired and living off of those payouts. The Hildabeast says she wants to get her hands on those profits (dividends) for the common good. (shades of Karl Marx)
If Exxon Mobil does not make a profit or pay dividends I would not want to purchase their stock. Her "plan" would not help the price of Exxon Mobil stock.

I might add here that EXXON pays more in taxes by some 2 1/2 times than they report in profit.
I have long had more than enough of Hillary Clinton's bilge.

Prices were 2 to 3 times higher than ours in many countries then and they are still much higher now. On a comparative basis, pump prices have always been a bargain in the U.S. And that has absolutely nothing to do with oil companies. The reason why European prices are so much higher are taxes, taxes and more taxes.

hundreds of billions in taxes paid by the companyI'd be a little more interested if this guy actualy had some figures to offer instead of rhetorical pseudo-numbers. Frankly though, I have a hard time caring much. Exxon Mobil is big enough to take care of itself without needing my sympathies.

How do you get liquid without paying huge tax penalties if your savings are in retirement accounts? How do you take more than $9,999 out of the country without being arrested under the current laws? Why would you sell out your real estate at a time when the property values are just starting to return after falling sharply?
More importantly: where do you go? Does anyone think Australia will always have the Howard government in power? Is there anywhere that would welcome ordinary Americans who aren't bringing $1M along with them and planning to invest that money in the economy of their destination?
There are even more things to consider: many of the lovely island nations of the world do not allow foreigners to purchase land outright. Cost of living an American lifestyle (daily shower/clothes washer & dryer/heat and a/c,food you are used to, medical, vision and dental care at the American standard, for example) in a tropical paradise can run around $10k/month or more. The people in many places in the world do not really like Americans, either.
Most retirement accounts and most pension funds hold oil and oil services stocks.
Why do we tremble and contemplate running away? When the left doesn't get its way, it attacks with Million Person Marches, media smears and boycotts. Muslims feel slightly humiliated and they riot and torch everything in sight, at the very least. Everyone except conservative, religious Americans runs to the UN shouting that their Human Rights have been violated. Can't we, at the very minimum, do the same?

Obama makes one slip and it is news for days - conversely Hillary makes this huge socialistic boo-boo and little is said. She's a Communist folks - no doubt about it. No dispute with you about that.
But, according to the anti-Rudy foks here on FR, there is absolutely no difference between Hillary and Rudy.
Right?
RIGHT?

A few months ago c span showed all the top oil ceo's being interrogated by some senate committee. My first thought was that the combined ceo's of Exxon,Chevron,Shell, etc. were responsible for over a trillion dollars a year. They were not intimidated. Shumer keep ragging the ceo of Exxon, the biggest company in the world, about alternative energy. Finally Rex, the ceo, told him "that's not our business". That ended that. He also told them that Exxon has over 2 million share holders in the U.S. they are resposnlble to. But the real slap in the face is when he told them they likely had all benefited for Exxon's profit though their pensions and investments. They went silent.

Hillary wants to spend Exxon's billions.
I wonder how Exxon's shareholders will feel about that.
To: Hardastarboard
Simple economics makes the case that they were "gouging" at least somewhat to have made these profits.I beg to differ, but it does hinge on the very abstract pejorative, "gouge". Your arguement only holds if all supply vs. demand pricing "gouging". If I am in a market where the pricing is established by marginal resources (and my employer is, by coincidence), I don't have to demand any more for my product for me to make more money on flat sales. The rising market price can be driven by other suppliers and I will still benefit. Unless I am a "charitable" institution, inclined to give my product away well below market price, I will make more money as the marginal cost rises. ("Not gonna happen!")

She's a Communist folks - no doubt about it. Hugo Chavez in a crusty black pantsuit. She must NOT be allowed into the Oval Office.

This may be why the 2d ammendment is so important.

Apparently, up to a third of us want to place national security in the hands of a cross-dressing mayor from New York. The rest of us are too busy making the country work to be activists.

But, according to the anti-Rudy foks here on FR, there is absolutely no difference between Hillary and Rudy.Oh, there's a difference between Hillary and Rudy, I'm sure. However, there is a BIG difference between Hillary and, say, Duncan Hunter.
