Cong Pete Sessions and Fmr. Cong Susan Molinari Announce Support for Mayor Rudy Giuliani
Join Rudy 2008 ^ | 12 Feb 2008 | Press Release

Posted on 02/12/2007 12:02:08 PM PST by PhiKapMom

New York, Feb 12 -

The Rudy Giuliani Exploratory Committee today announced that Congressman Pete Sessions and former Congresswoman Susan Molinari are supporting Mayor Rudy Giuliani to be the next President of the United States. Both will take active roles aiding Giuliani’s exploratory efforts, with Sessions working to build support in the House and Molinari serving as both Senior Advisor and Chairman of Washington outreach.

In announcing their endorsement, Sessions and Molinari praised Giuliani’s proven leadership.

“I’m supporting Mayor Giuliani for President because he has the experience, record of results and vision to unite our country during these uncertain times. I’m honored to be a part of his team and will work hard to elect Rudy Giuliani as the next President of the United States,” said Congressman Pete Sessions.

Congresswoman Susan Molinari stated, “I’ve seen the results of Mayor Giuliani’s leadership – cutting taxes, transforming a historic deficit into a multi-billion dollar surplus and reducing crime. Without a doubt, Rudy Giuliani is the demonstrated leader America needs to tackle difficult challenges and move our country forward.”

Mayor Rudy Giuliani thanked both Congressman Sessions and former Congresswoman Molinari for their support. “I’m honored to have the support of two Republican leaders who have made a real difference as public servants.”

Rep Pete Sessions has a 98 lifetime ACU Rating.

And Susan Molinari makes Rudy Giuliani look like Tom Coburn. Molinari is probably the only Republican able to attack Rudy from the left.

Sessions is okay, but I wouldn't be advertising Molinari's support too much if I were Guiliani. She's David Gergen in a skirt, the kind of "Republican" brought onto shows like Spitball to trash the Bush Administration, or to serve as a punching bag for hosts like Matthews and their panels of rabid moonbat democrat spokespeople.

I guess Molinari didn't get the memo about Rudy being a "RINO."

I went to the ACU and she must have been way back in Congress because I couldn't find her listed but then I didn't go that far back either. I knew that Cong Sessions was current.

I don't know that much about her at all. I remember the name and don't watch the cable news shows because I find them irritating.

They would look bad if they gave Pete a RINO title.
They themselves would look like folks who could not be counted as conservatives.

He was the head of a huge Conservative think tank outa the Dallas area.

Oklahoma sent down a busload of folks to help one Saturday for the Sessions campaign -- he is one of my favorites!

It's unfortunate that ACU ratings aren't contagious, or maybe Rudy would catch it from Sessions.

Being a conservative is nice, but being a conservative doesn't make people you endorse conservative.

Susan Molinari represented my district in Congress. Her father Guy Molinari was our longtime Borough President. He and other Staten Island Conservatives helped to put Rudy in power as Mayor of NYC. We loved him and to misrepresent him as a Liberal like Bloomberg is a "Big Lie." He was hated by Liberals in NYC. I'm surprised they didn't try to kill him. He stood up to Sharpton and the other Radical Leftists in this city. They called him "Adolf Ghouliani." He was villified on a daily basis. He stood up to Arafat at a time when the President kissed up to him. He does not deserve to be compared to Hitlery and her fellow DemonRats as so many people are trying to do.

Rep Pete Sessions has a 98 lifetime ACU Rating.

Santorum had an 88, but that didn't stop him from backing Specter with a 45!

So what persuades a supposed rock ribbed conservative to support a flaming liberal?

It ain't principles...

John D'Amato -- a prominent New York City Republican and currently a partner of Guy Molinari in the legal/lobbying profession -- made quite a name for himself in 2006 as a successful fund-raiser . . .

. . . for ELIOT SPITZER.

If this makes any sense to any New York Freepers out there, please wake me up and fill me in on the details. Politically, New York City is so f#%&ed-up that any candidate from that place is suspect merely by association -- even if he/she has a lifetime ACU rating of 100.

Some on FR have low expectations, and are content with a thrice-divorced, pro-abortion, pro-gay "marriage," pro-gun control, pro-illegal alien, cross-dressing candidate if he's got an R after his name.

Pathetic.

As for me, I'll wait until grownups enter the presidential race.

She served in the House for three terms, from New York. Ann Coulter wrote about her in Slander, and what she had to say wasn't very flattering. Molinari's one of these spineless DBM Republicans who get invited onto talk shows as "analysts" because they won't fight back - playing nice so they keep getting invited back is the most important thing to them.

Here's Susan on the above mentioned Hardball, "defending" her chosen man.. I didn't see this bit, but I'm assuming that she just sat there and didn't say a word when Matthews called Rudy a "fascist."

glgb, can anyone else from Newsbusters elaborate on Molinari's response to Chrissy calling Rudy a fascist? It's against my religion to watch Chris Matthews myself.
