They have shown there is no approach too low to sell a liberal as the standard bearer for the GOP. They take approaches that would make an infomercial producer blush.
The same folks demanded we take a half-step away from conservatism with Bush. That brought us No Child Left Behind, Medicare Prescription Benefit, runaway spending, a signature on CFR and a push for amnesty. But since Bush has some core conservative values, at least we got a PBA ban, limits on federal funding of embryonic stem-cell research, a rearguard against global warming hysteria, no gun grabbing, the right to bear arms argued as an individual right and a pro-military administration.
Now we are asked to not take a half step, but a flying leap to the left. They trash a conservative icon to somehow make their guy look less liberal than his past clearly shows. And for asking why we should foresake all that motivates us in politics, we are branded "unappeasables" and "100 percenters" as our values are trivialized, belittled and even out-and-out trashed.
All on a conservative website.
That's because the evil Rudy pulled his strings. LOL. That's the beauty of conspiracy theories. You never have to prove anything. :)
We differed about when the bill got signed, dipwad. 1967 or 1970.
Did you just see FNC?
They had a poll on Republican presidential candidates and asked people which candidate they wouldn't vote for under any circumstances.
Gingrich had the highest percentage of people who wouldn't vote for him no matter what. It was 60-something percent.
Giuliani had the lowest number at 30-something percent.
ROFL
This is not even comparable to being traitorous to America. I am not a Guiliani supporter, but I get defensive of him when I just see attack after attack on him in this board. (PS - I distrust McCain as well)
we shall put them [political posts] in the hands of persons whose past and reputation are such that between them and the people lies an abyss, persons who, in case of disobedience to our instructions, must face criminal charges or disappear -- this in order to make them defend our interests to their last gasp.
Sorry, Peach. When someone posted about the 1967 bill, you said this:
Yes and it's not terribly valid since it doesn't address the legislation he signed in 1970.
It's clear to everyone but you that you were claiming Reagan signed two bills.
Gee. You must be normal or something. :)
That's pretty much what I'm trying to tell a friend of mine who wants Newt to run. He's brilliant on policy and planning. Unlike you though, I don't think it's all the fault of the media that people hate him so much.
He hasn't got a loyal bone in his body and his ego is too big to fit into any room in DC.
Some people live in a fantasy world. What can you say...
Given Rudy's great powers the opposition is Doomed. "Watch the swinging jewel, back and forth, back and forth. Now repeat after me 'Rudy will be King, Rudy will be King'."
bttt
Thanks for the bump.
Here is a link to video of Giuliani defending Kislin at a City Hall Press conference.
