Good morning.

DofD doesn't stand a chance in the FreeRepublic. Inevitably someone will name him/her/it a troll.

..he exposed Murtha's plan for what it is--a plan to cut off the financial support for the troops

Also, a good discussion on border security, which included his comments on the convicted border patrol agents...

I'm not worried about any legislation they pass in the house. If our men and women in the Senate stay strong there will never be a 60 vote count.

"The more I hear from Hunter the more I like him. He certainly is being ignored by the media in their Obama-mania.Regardless, the future of the GOP is being decided on the streets of Baghdad as we speak. Why do you think the Dems are so terrified the troop surge may work that they are doing everything possible to stop it? If this new strategy fails, we will be swept from government almost completely in 2008.I do take solace in the likelihood that the far left will overplay their hand. This may cause a public backlash against Dems, especially if violence slows down in Iraq as they pass their shameful resolutions and try to limit funding and deployments."

I am already a Duncan Hunter fan, have donated to his campaign, and sorry I missed him on Laura's show this morning! I agree with what you said above and believe the strategy in Iraq will succeed which will backfire on the Dems and Rino's! Keep praying for our troops!

But watching Bush over these past few months, he's just trying to save his legacy and appease.

Nixon tried to please the democrats and win a war at the same time, too. The democrats beheaded him for it.

Bull crap!

If that was his aim, he would just order everyone home and give Iraq over to the Iranians. He would be hailed the conquering hero and his poll numbers would go up.

Like I said, bull crap!

His message is very appealing. I also like the fact that he has time to work for his constituents Ramos and Campean while running for president. His biggest deficit is lack of executive experience, but that can be overcome by mounting a sucessful presidential campaign. Let's see how he does.

DUNCAN HUNTER BUMP!!

The reason Rudy is ahead in the polls right now is because people see him as a tough leader. Once his liberalism comes to the front and center though, he's toast.
If Dunkan remains strong and sticks to his guns, he could easily take Rudys place at the front of the line.
People want a strong leader. They don't want another 8 years of "mush."

I like Bush personally, as a man, but as a president he wasn't strong enough to stand up to political correctness (the censoring of any objection to the liberal agenda).

What's not to like?! So far, Duncan Hunter is the candidate I'd like to see nominated so he can blast a fresh dose of reality to the "debate" with the Democommie nominee.

Also Rudy has more general population name-recognition, whereas the nation hasn't heard as much about Duncan Hunter. Yet.

"The MSM hopes. Hunter is as solid as they come. And he does not suffer the MSM gladly. He's already ripped the balls off of Wolf Blitzer"

If there was any REAL dirt on Hunter, the MSM would have dredged it by now. Blitzer is on the way to Thailand for a balls transplant : )

Good for Laura.

If anyone missed this, they can listen to Laura Ingraham's reruns tonight on WABC, at 10 PM - 1 AM, either on the internet, or 770 AM radio (if you can pick it up).

To Ultra Sonic 007 - Can you tell us if it was on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd hour?

Good for Duncan. He needs many more of these appearances to widen his name recognition.
What's not to like?
I don't know much about the guy. But I do have a few question not policy related.

Is he a likable person?

Is he a good public speaker?

Is he photogenic?

Can he think on his feet?

Does he have a sense of humor?

Is he tall and in good physical condition?

The reason I ask is because every yes answer will be seen as a plus in the eyes of Joe Public.
