WHEW!

He'll never have to work again.

Many of those cars are priceless. Some may not be i great condition but easily restored. Very nice collection.

I can't read the text very well.

But if I were them, I'd be discussing ownership issues. Did he buy the farm outright? Does the purchase include any property left by prior owners?

Good questions. I can't read Dutch so I can't answer. Do you think they might be stolen?

Why would anyone abandon such a collection? If not stolen, the owner must've died and left no heirs. They'll be coming out of the woodwork now though, I'll bet!

I wish the article had a few more details too. Who did he purchase the "abandoned" farm from? Was it from relatives of the person who "abandoned" it? Was it a Government tax sale of some kind? Is there a chance that he knew the cars were in the garage when he bought it? Who is the buyer, and has he done farming before?

Yeah, someone on another site said maybe a mob dropoff point for stolen vintage cars... Or maybe a prewar stash (though I think there is some postwar stuff in there, too) that someone was hiding from the Nazis, lol. Lots of speculation.

I have often had this fantasy about doing the same thing, and finding an old WWII airplane in there...:)

I am a world wide car expert and I say everything in that barn is worthless.

But since I'm such a softy and I'm feeling sorry for the poor fella, I'll gladly give the guy 50 american dollars for each car.

Heh.
