I can imagine the conversation going something like this. Islamo Cabby: Alah be praised as he drives down West End. Vanderbilt via Ohio Students: What's allah? Islamo Cabby: Where is my IED? I know it hear somewhere!!

In Austin, around five years ago two passengers were shot and killed by a white cabbie after they were making fun of the pictures of the cabbie's wife which were posted in the cab.


Lesson: Cabbies are a little Crazy. Do not mess with them.


BTW: I worked my way through college by driving a cab.

I never did shoot anyone or run them over but I did leave a few drunk A-holes on the side of the road far away from their home.

Here's my question:

When these moslems immigrate to the US, doesn't someone TELL THEM that we have freedom of speech and freedom of religion here? Don't they know we can say whatever we want about Mohammed or Islam? Certainly it isn't courteous to be rude, but unlike some ME countries, it is NOT illegal, and no one will get executed for speaking his/her mind.

Don't they know that women can dress however they like, and that women can be the boss of men sometimes? Don't they know they are NOT the moral arbiters of the US?

In my whole life, until 9-11-2001, I never thought less of a moslem for his/her religion. Until that day, I never held moderate moslems responsible for the extremists among them. I was raised to respect everyone. And it never occurred to me, until that day, to look down on anyone's religion...
