It has to be signed by Bush. Not that I think he won't sign it, mind you. But let's just remember that fact as another gun grabber is considered for 2008.

I hope you were being sarcastic but the second amendment does not specify that it is prohibited to Congress. It is prohibited period! to infringe on the right to keep and bear arms. This means any government people! The second amendment is the basis of a free people. As soon as that right was infringed upon we were no longer completely a free people. The nanny state had started.

"Mayor Giuliani, do you support the renewal of the AWB currently before Congress, and if it came to your desk as president, would you sign it?"

He would say "Yes, but the Supreme Court will veto it".

When will the democrat madness end?

It could end at the desk of the Republican President, but he is not on our side here. You can't just blame them when Bush can stop this but has said he will sign it.

"It has to be signed by Bush. Not that I think he won't sign it, mind you."

Reauthorizing the AWB was a campaign promise from Bush. He'll sign it.

Is this the same Assault Weapons Ban that was passed by the fruitcakes in 1994? Or is it more sweeping?

"Next it's going to be sling shots."

My town's ordinance:

"ec. 18-22. Projectiles; archery ranges. No person shall, within the corporate limits of the city, or within any area owned or leased by the city, shoot or project any stone, rock, shot or other hard substance by means of a slingshot, bean shooter, shot shooter, air rifle, popgun, bow or other similar contrivance"

President Giuliani, Romney, or McCain sign such a bill. Bush will veto it.

The GOP leadership seems to think that the way to win an election is to turn farther left. The idiots just don't understand the concept that we, the people want the constitutional republic that this country is supposed to be.

The Tree of Liberty thirsts.

An M1 Carbine is an assault rifle???

no, but it is an "assault WEAPON" per D(v). semi-auto, detachable (hi cap) magazine and a barrel "shroud."

Aren't you glad the "true conservatives" taught the GOP a "lesson" in 2006?

This is a lie and I'd appreciate you stopping using it.

Conservatives turned out. It was the "moderates" that gifted us with this congress.
