I remember reading around here that the border patrol said that 10 million probably got through in 2006. We must be looking at 5 to 7 million this year then, if it has slowed down.
The fence must be built. All illegals must be deported.
Enforcement first. Then we can consider other things.
...I heard the Titanic has quit taking on water too.....
Now here is something that will work, I noticed they could get up to six months....we should give them all of it. This will make a good deterrent.
Or here in Central Ohio.
LOL! Nominating this for Reply of the Day!
As it does every year around this time.
BS, we always knew it could be controlled with sufficient resources.
"They are using barbaric techniques."
We're using "barbaric" techniques? He knows nothing of barbaric! But I hope he stays home and takes a second job, so that his son will have a father.
...or South Mississippi
should have "started to slow" on 9/12/2001
"Ike did it, so can Bush!"
Bush's fault.
Don't let any of this fool you. Nancy Pelosi and the other democrats are working right now on legislation to give illegal immigrant children in-state tuition and also working to pass a so called (amnesty) guest worker program. The Democrats are not our salvation. They are out for themselves. They say we will make college more affordable so children can go to college, but they are also making it more affordable for the children of illegal immigrants. Children who we have already bore the burden of educating, we now will bear the burden of subsidizing their college education. I really despair for this country. It is true that we had some growth in jobs, but of the majority of the jobs are low-wage levels. That means that low wage jobs are growing at an exponential rate, while middle class job growth is not very good. It is the middle class that is bearing the tax burden in this country. Not the poor, nor the rich. Now we are talking about not only giving citizenship to 12-20 million poor people, but allowing up to 100 million more into our country in the next twenty years. I know some of you dont want to believe it, but a country needs educated workers coming into its country in order to keep its country afloat. Ninety five percent of the workers that are coming into American (legal and illegal) are uneducated. They will take low wage jobs on which they will pay little or no tax. In fact most of them will get the earned income tax credit, which will in effect mean that they will pay no taxes at all and get extra money back from the government. They will need public housing built for them which will be subsidized by middle class taxpayers, they will need schools built to accommodate their children and also have their health care paid for. In other words, they will be no economic benefit at all, but in effect a tax burden. No one blames them for wanting the American Dream, but no one can, without being hypocritical, blame middle class workers for wanting to keep their American Dream. America, like most countries, are selling their middle class citizens out. Its about cheap labor this and cheap labor that. Well cheap labor is not cheap labor when the middle class workers are bearing the cost of educating, housing, and medical care for the low wage workers. Its cheap labor from the businesses point of view. And for those of you out there who are thinking that well when they get amnesty, they will demand higher wages. I have news for you. These businesses will close down or leave the country. They care nothing for the illegal immigrant or American citizens. Its about money for them. Just as it is for all of us. But at least for working American citizen, they are not cheating Peter (American Citizens) to exploit Paul (illegal immigrants.)
