Consider… from a purely secular standpoint, there would seem to be no barring concern. Morality/Religion? Not an issue, since we're secular. Genetics? We used to worry about inbreeding and such, but with abortion up to the very last day in utero a sanctified right in our legal system, and pre-natal testing a common thing, why, any 'bad seed' can be culled before birth.

Someone mentioned Oedipus Rex. Bad end and all, but it presupposes shame. Consider that the overwhelming concern (generally) in today's culture seems to be obtaining one's '15 minutes of fame' and becoming rich and famous. Does anyone think that the earthly benefits would not overwhelm any potential shame (said shame, no doubt, could be removed from one's psyche once the American Psychological Association decides that incest has joined homosexuality on the 'it's no longer a disorder' list).
