LOL! The only thing I know about Mr. Hunter is that he's a Congressman. I voted undecided, for the time being anyway.

A poll I would like to see.
How should GOP candidates be chosen?
1. let the GOP choose our candidates.
2. let the media choose our candidates.
3. Let the democrats choose our candidates.
4. go completely nuts and let we the people choose our candidates.

The MSM wants Giuliani, and for obvious reasons (IMO), and Mr. Hunter seems to be the preferable candidate for the Republican nomination.

Got to go with the conservative. Just wish he had more of a chance. Right now, if things don't change (Macaca, etc.), it looks like Rudy will get the nomination and beat Hillary.

"The only thing I know about Mr. Hunter is that he's a Congressman" He's very pro-RKBA, and received an "A" grade (CA #52) from the tough-grading Gun Onwers of America.
Now you know two things about him.

Wow! 76% Duncan.
That settles it. Cancel the primaries. Duncan is the nominee.
No? Makes about as much sense as people pretending the libmedia's name recognition polls mean anything yet either. And we know those folks don't have our best interests in mind.

You think that Duncan Hunter is more conservative than Ronald Reagan? That's your right, of course, but the
Club for Growth, with Pat Toomey at its head, seems to disagree with you.

If Hunter wins the Republican nomination, would you still support Hunter, or would you (hypothetically speaking) 'sit it out', or worse yet, vote for a dem?
I get the feeling you wish you could vote in our elections. :)

You will not silence me nor the others. Don't presume you can. You may be a long time FReeper in good standing, Ivan, but your loud interference in our political process at some point becomes unseemly, IMO, seeing how you're not an American. Especially when the noise you're making is in favor of a guy to the left of your current Labor Party Prime Minister.

That's a no-brainer! God bless you, please, Mr. Robinson!
To: umgud
As for chance who really knew Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton and most thought Ronald Regan only an actor.
By the way, I have a sneaking suspicion that the dimwits are trying to pull another fast one on us with Obama like they did with Jimma and Bubba. Here is something fresh and new and all that bla, bla bla. It's worked in the past.
Let's do the same to them. Let's elect a real person that can do the job, Duncan Hunter, that is. Why can't we do the same?
To: EternalVigilance
If you can get me thrown off, go right ahead. But this is the leader of the Free World we are talking about, and as I told you before, I will not be silent. You are not a mod either, so don't presume to tell me what is "unseemly" or not.
The selection of the British Prime Minister will not affect your life nearly as much as the selection of the American President will affect mine. So long as this is true, I am going to yell loudly about the prospect of Hillary or Obama in the White House, something I do not want to see.
