Statement from the ANSWER Coalition on the March 17-18 Global Days of Action
ANSWER Coalition ^ | 2/07 | ANSWER Coalition

Posted on 02/24/2007 9:08:13 AM PST by hophead

The people of the United States want an end to the war in Iraq. The elections in November were a clear repudiation of the Bush administration's war of aggression. The new Congress, however, has no intention of ending the war. Bush and the Pentagon generals are determined to prolong the war. Tens of thousands of more troops will be sent to Iraq. We are building a massive antiwar movement on the national and local level. Only the action of the people will stop the war.

We are returning to the Pentagon because the Iraq war has resulted in more than 655,000 Iraqi deaths (Lancet), on top of more than 1 million killed by sanctions between 1990-2003. This is genocide.

"This is genocide."

This is why we all need to be at this rally. “Gathering of Eagles” in DC March 17th.

I respect these people because THEY have the balls to ACTUALLY state what their goals and agendas are. Half the Congress can't do that. I wonder which Congresscritters will send statements or speak on behalf of the organizers and against the war or withdraw the troops.

"The elections in November were a clear repudiation of the Bush administration's war of aggression"

Not so. The left tried to run on corruption but that was a non starter. They ended up running on Foley and macaca. No referendum on war.

God, I'm sick of the ways these lies are so easily offered and accepted.

The people of the United States want an end to the war in Iraq.

Half-truth. The people of the United States want an end to the war in Iraq when we WIN the war in Iraq.

The elections in November were a clear repudiation of the Bush administration's war of aggression.

Yeah, it was such a "clear repudiation" that the DemocRATS hold SLIM majorities in both houses. Talk about creating one's own reality.

FOR ALL YOU SELF-RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE WHO STAYED HOME ON ELECTION DAY 2006 - HERE IS WHAT OUR DOMESTIC ENEMY SAYS WAS THE MESSAGE YOU SENT:

"The people of the United States want an end to the war in Iraq. The elections in November were a clear repudiation of the Bush administration's war of aggression."

Rush talked about this the other day and said the reason for the hype in the Congress is because they have convinced themselves we want the dems to STOP THE WAR!

While the dems may end up overplaying their hand (as usual), and making the public turn against them in the end .. I hope nobody is betting the farm on that being a reality.

NICE GOING .. all you NON-voters. I hope you are not going to be stupid enough to make the same disastrous choice in 2008.

"The elections in November were a clear repudiation of the Bush administration's war of aggression"

The elections in November 2004 were a clear endorsement of President Bush's war against terror.
That's why president Bush won with the highest number of votes ever in American history.
Meanwhile, the RATS continue to cling to a razor thin majority in the US Senate, and even that is only with the vote of guy that run as an independent and was voted into the US Senate because of Republican votes in CT.
So much for a "clear repudiation of the Bush administration's war "

There are opportunities around the country, and FReepers can publicly show their support for the troops locally even if there is no moonbat melee to CP.

We'll miss the DC chapter on "the grassy knoll" this year. We can read each others' AAR!

I love liberals. They seem determined to inflict a humiliating defeat upon this country to satiate their Bush Derangement Syndrome and to show just how much they hate America.

Past time. They've mistaken our silent majority silence as agreement with their goals. Screw them.
