Thank you snowrip. You speak the truth. As long as we continue to let the dimwits force us into thinking that we have no candidates, we will continue to do ourselves in. We have strong conservative candidates out there. The only thing most Americans knew about Ronald Reagan was he was an actor; but he won; because he proved to be a conservative. Unfortunately, most of us outside of the political arena had never heard of Carter or Clinton; but the dimwits put on a show and nothing much else and won. So it works both ways. It doesn't matter a twit who says what about who. We want people who are good for this country and if that means running some republicans out of office; so be it. The good people are out there. Please remain strong in your beliefs and on course. We managed to get Gray Davis out of office, and promptly forgot what it's all about in this country when Arnie was elected because he was a republican in name only, simply because he was winnable. Stay the course. The candidates are out there. America is great.
Don't miss Semmens post # 49 --- this is another example of R's voting with a "I'll show you, vote"
http://www.azconservative.org/Semmens1.htm
Abby Dammed, of New Immigrant Community Empowerment. ...The idea that these people should have to pass some sort of test on the Constitution and American history to vote is ludicrous. We let native-born morons who dont even know who the president is vote. We let lard-asses on welfare vote. Why not let these hard-working immigrants vote?
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi ".... Why should we get fussy about aliens voting?
Then there is hillary clinton saying After 9/11 the world sympathized with us, Clinton said. They saw that we, too, were victims. Victimhood is the highest moral status one can have. President Bush has squandered this precious status with his aggressive retaliation against the terrorists. Its very sad to me.
That paragraph reveals hillary clinton!!!
then hillary clinton says ...."Funds saved from downsizing U.S. Armed Forces should be invested in a universal healthcare program, Clinton suggested. There are some intriguing results coming out of Gambia, Clinton said. I think we would do well to pay heed and redirect our efforts accordingly.
Be sure to read the Gambia RX!
If there was no fraud in the last election (my wishful thinking hopes there was) then I say thanks to all of ya who voted a -- I will show you vote.
BTW hillary clintons "universal healthcare program" comment is also Barack Hussein Obama's ambition.
They are not 'in-fighting' -- we are getting played like a violen. Their plan with the aid of DBM!!!!
"How much more damage can Ted do before he finally dies."
Answer: A LOT.
In 1964, Ted Kennedy was behind the 1965 immigration bill and its 'diversity quota' that got the ball rolling for uncontrolled immigration. That begat illegal immigration.
Then in 1986, Ted decided to 'help' make things worse by sticking in poison pills to the immigration bill, that included amensty, which in effect made the employer sanctions unenforcable. He even insisted on forbidding employers to ask for immigration status verification except under specific circumstances, so that employers would be hauled up on 'discrimation' charges if they asked too many questions.
WE CONTINUE TO SUFFER FROM HIS PAST BILLS, AND NOW WILL SUFFER FOR TWO MORE DECADES FROM WHATEVER BAD BILL HE CREATES NOW.
"As I understand it, any one Senator can put a hold on a bill.
None did it last sesson.
"
Your understanding is wrong. It takes 40 Senators to have a true filibuster.
Our only hope is to find 40 good Senators to stop the train. Alas, there was already 7 full bore amnesty advocates and half a dozen more who could be bent that way.
Losing the House Republican majority has made a bad immigration compromise almost inevitable.
As I said, you're making an arse out of yourself...but hey, knock yourself out. If you want to be an arse, who am I to try to talk you out of it.
Bush appears to want to catapult from "mediocre" to "Worst President in History".
Some of you sound so hard boiled on this deal. Listen, I was just told by my cleaning lady that her sister has to go back to Mexico for one year and then re=enter. This sister is a hard working fantastic cleaning lady, with three children who are citizens of the US - what is the answer here? And well, she should have thought of that before won't cut it. I was just at a lecture at the law school on immigration givien by a conservative law professor who says the amnesty bill will pass, although he was plenty disgusted with the Congress for its refusal to deal with the issue--he further suggested that if the federal Congress doesn't get off its duff and deal with it, the individual states will. This is not a Democrat - Republican issue as much as it is a who has the intestinal fortitude to deal with it issue, and George Bush has a vision for it and those of you who, let's not forget, are sons and daughters of immigrants, need to fugure out a way to be a part of the solution.
I call you both and raise you "Chuck the Schmuck" and "Her Heinous".
I take it then, that you are all for Bush's "new America"?
That's exactly what you're doing on this thread. Good of you for admitting it!
Did you hear what the racist shouted as he left the stage"
"viva la raza"
I kid you not.
I like it.
Add a rider that all troops before or after deployment must spend 60 days on the border either training up for foreign deployment of being debriefed on their deployment.
That would drive a stake through Reid and Clintons heart.
Conservative purists have been keeping the socialists from extinction for years. They play you like a cheap fiddle and you never wise up.
Exactly. But, it is not time just to give up. Being a member and supporter of Numbers, I have found that voter-sender-poster infusion into Congressional debates and legislation, actually has some effect. Take a look at the NumbersUSA site and decide. I often send faxes and actually get responses from interested members of Congress on specific legislation. Kennedy is just one amnesty bill writer. Bush is horrid on this issue but others can be persuaded if the public is willing to do the trench work and send and call those reps in DC.
Well, that comment wins the prize for most muddled of the day.
I'll be happy to respond, but first you'll have to restructure it into meaningful words that arrive at some sort of point. Good luck!
I live in WA State...sadly, our representatives here were sent to Washington to support this sort of garbage.
Sen. Clinton and Shumer haven't done the active damage that Kennedy and Kerry have.
Just being an anti American, pro UN socialist isn't enough. You have to do things that directly hurt the country. - tom
the coward belongs behind bars, does mary joe ring a bell
Amen brother! I have already been hard at work tonight getting my list of Senators to contact. I have already e-mailed my two Senators (Senators Chambliss and Isakson) who have been consistently against amnesty. A great idea would be to contact the Democratic Senators who opposed the last amnesty bill, such as Senators Stabenow and Dorgan, and contact any other "fence sitters" concerning this latest sham of a bill.
Gee, NOW I wonder why I hardly ever eat out anymore!!
