I would be more inclined to support Duncan but for 2 things: 1) I don't like his protectionist position, and 2) I don't think he can beat Hillary or Obama.

When I think about what you wrote,

"I would be more inclined to support Duncan but for 2 things: 1) I don't like his protectionist position, and 2) I don't think he can beat Hillary or Obama." I think if many conservatives has the same thoughts,we are in the crapper as country.

I would rather have real conservative run and lose, than a RINO run and win, because in my book a RINO is not far from Obama or Hill

2) I don't think he can beat Hillary or Obama.

An oft repeated and self fulfilling prophecy. Who is telling us that?

Answer: Opinion polls, which are asking folks who are not near as informed as the average Freeper is. I do not question the accuracy of the polls but I do question their validity because the vast majority are choosing based on reputation alone. Which would be fine. But, those folks likely thing that with an R by his name, Rudy would be in line with the traditional platform.

Now is the time to beat the drum for a conservative choice. It is not the time to make today's fantasy a reality.

Not protectionist. He's for trade agreements and with China that do not allow them to cheat, and cheat they do. Why should we give china the upper hand in trade deals. They are our enemies.

Those are two of his worst problems, but there are more, which will deny his run.

So far, alas, there is not much of a battle, more like a little noise down around Mr. Giuliani's ankle.

I don't know enough about #1 to agree or disagree. But I agree with #2.
