"Simcha, if what you're purporting here is true, not as a pun, is this the end of the Easter Bunny?"

Finding the bones of Jesus makes as much sense as finding the Easter Bunny.
I didn't think it funny at all. Just extremely disrespectful to Christians. In fact, I was very irritated by King's overall continuous smug, condescending demeanor during this show.
Larry is worried that the Easter bunnies will no longer go up to Jerusalem to celebrate Passover and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I was up with my sick daughter last night and was watching Fox's Red Eye, the guy on there cracked me up by saying that James Camaron has found Jesus...making him the only one in Hollywood who has.
Who in the world is so bored that they would watch this senile clown?
If evolution and the big bang did not bring an end to Christianity, then the fact that some archeologist claims he found some inscriptions certainly will not.
Besides, it seems to contradict the Da Vinci Code, so it can't be true. According to Dan Brown, Jesus' baby was a girl.
It was in the WAY he said it. Larry King style plus he boiled it all down to the Easter Bunny. I guess you sort of have to know Larry to see the humor in it.
ever see when Larry King was on Larry King's show and King kept sticking his finger in Brando's face. Brando said he was going to break it off- it was hilarious
If nothing else, you gotta love Red Eye for the lack of political correctness. Sometimes I feel guilty for finding it so humorous, and I am about as politically incorrect as one can be.
Sounds about right coming from a moron who doesn't even know how to send an email.
Check the transcript. That's an actual quote but the audio is far FUnnier. Please. Somebody out there find an audio link for this.
typical Larry King.
Nothing to see here...
If someone the likes of Larry King said something intelligent, then I would be surprised.
It is a planned effort to create doubt.
A few people will buy it - not as many as they think, but they believe they are planting seeds in order to weaken Western religion.
"Brando said he was going to break it off"
He should have;)
I believe you PJ...
One reason why its funny is the way Larry King takes complex things and breaks it down into simplistic Larry King style sensationalism that is really besides the point. Maybe I am overanalyzing this but that statement of his is FUnnie in a Larry King sort of way.
"Simcha, with the coming of the Apocalypse, how will that affect the Baseball All Stars game?"
Are you telling me there ain't no Easter Bunny?!!!
Well, just damn!
As much as I may dislike Mr. King, this is a very funny joke on his part!
I doubt he was trying to be funny. He probably meant to take a really tacky cheap shot at Christianity, but ended up looking like such a moron that you couldn't help but laugh.
Actually this was Larry King being his simplistic, but unintentionally hilarious, self. Remember, for Larry King, the Internet is nothing but having to punch a bunch of annoying buttons. This is all part of Larry World.
King is a complete moron with a terrible voice.
This guy does not belong in radio nor on tv.
Still, his quote is funny. You know, destroy Christianity - lose the Bunny.
Easter. Resurrection. Get it?
Larry King is an idiot.
Larry King's failings are sort of a part of his charm. I used to know him a bit here in South Florida and the guy is a mass of incredible insecurities despite his fame. He introduced me to one of his many wives and then kept asking me what I thought of her. King also had the Mob after him because of heavy gambling debts and went on the run. Yeah, he has his faults but he is like a character out of Elmore Leonard.
You think Larry King was funny with this comment?
Wait until next week when he interviews the GEICO cavemen.
"So, here you are living in prehistoric times, was it as easy to drive those caveman cars like Fred Flintstone did, it looked pretty simple, but how do you stop it without tearing off the soles of your feet?"
Its funny , but I never saw a bunny that laid eggs.
He wasn't TRYING to be FUnnie. He was just being typical Larry King. BTW, I found a Biblical Christianity blog that also found this same quote hilarious. The blogger said it ranks as a Larry King classic.
"Unintentionally hilarious quote by Larry King..."
Isn't "untintentionally" redundant in this context??
Chill out. Larry's quote had as much to do with Jesus as his quote about pushing a bunch of annoying buttons had to do with the Internet.
"Simcha, if what you're purporting here is true, not as a pun, is this the end of the Easter Bunny? And have you seen Angie Dickenson lately and how does she look?"
My God. He's right. We won't be able to smear the Easter Bunny's blood over our door lintels to prevent the Angel of Death from smashing our Frosty icons.
I'll sleep better tonight!
I had never watched it before, but I did find it to be DVR worthy. I read somewhere that some magazine has filed suit against News Corp. over the name.
It's not likely that some 2,000,000,000 Christians are going to wake up tomorrow and become Muslims.

And none of these pukes have the gonads to critically analyze the life of Mad Mo or his insane ravings codified in the Koran. This is just Jesus seminar nonsense carried to its illogical conclusion.
