University of Colorado-Boulder Chancellor G.P. Bud Peterson ... the university is also in the process of overhauling its faculty termination procedures following the controversial firing of CU ethnic studies professor Ward Churchill.
Churchill was fired for scholarly misconduct, but is still being paid pending a full review of his actions.
A faculty committee reviewing Churchills conduct is expected to make a recommendation to Brown in about two weeks, Peterson said. Then, Brown will make a recommendation to the schools Board of Regents.
I dont think hell have to deliberate a terribly long time over what hell recommend to the board, Peterson said of Brown.
The universitys termination policy is being overhauled to stipulate specific deadlines for each step in the termination process, which can take years, Peterson said.
During the scandal, Peterson said university officials briefly re-examined the need for and the value of the schools ethnic studies department.

He is still cashing his paycheck from the taxpayers...
It is a bunch of pc stuff...
diversity is a liberal term like global warming...
more pc stuff that liberals use against us that means : we win !
Ethics studies? How about patriotism studies? How about recognizing that you are an American university and that the overwhelming majority of your students are Americans? They should consider an ethics department instead...

Ward is not teaching any classes yet he still gets his paychecks, benefits...like a long paid vacation.
Ward's going to be on the public payroll (at CU) proably for the rest of his life.
How do you get fired and still get paid. I need to figure that one out.
I know : fired and still getting a pay check...
Tenure rules at the university ?
Churchhill isn't teaching but still being paid? What a deal!

Sounds like a regular faculty gig to me...
