There is an irresistible quality to the story about Al Gore's energy-hungry Tennessee home, replete with a heated poolhouse that burns more natural gas -- $500 a month worth -- than most of us can afford to use while heating houses that shelter people, as opposed to swimming lanes. Did you know that Mr. Gore's house uses more electricity in a month than the average household does in a year?

It is time to fight back against the greenhouse gas/ carbon offset credit SCAM.

Then of course we have the old standby:

"Greetings! I am Prince Ngonga from Nigeria. I hope I am not disturbing you, but I need your assistance in a mutually profitable endeavor. I have 500,000 metric tons of carbon offset credits I need to get out of Nigeria. If you can help me out by sending me $5000 to expedite this, I will share the carbon offset credits with you. 250,000 metric tons of carbon emission credits for $5000 is truly a bargain, don't you agree? Please make the check payable to "cash" and send it to #419 Mugu Road, Lagos, Nigeria...."

Meanwhile, for every $1000 people send me, I will promise not to build a coal-fired power plant, not raise 1000 methane-producing cattle, and not employ 100 workers who will have to drive to and from work. (Could someone advise me on what kind of cattle are best not to raise?) Wait a minute, before any Kyotoists ask me for my address so they can send $1000, the previous statement was meant as a JOKE. I figured that I had to point it out, though, as there are doubtlessly thousands of Kyotoists who are stupid enough to take it for an actual offer--after all, they are buying carbon offset credits the way ignorant medieval peasants bought indulgences for their sins. And they shouldn't try to contact "Prince Ngonga" either, as "419" and "mugu" refer to a common Internet scam.

Interesting comments from Patrick Moore Greenpeace co founder. He's clearly a lefty but he has a lot of intersting things to say about the modern enviromental movement and the junk science of globull warming. He's also praised the USA for refusing to sign on to the Kyoto scam.

Moore outlined the extreme positions of opposing sides of the climate change issue, including the commonly held belief that increases in atmospheric CO2 from fossil fuels' emissions are warming the planet. "Climate change, to me, is one of the most interesting subjects because it points out the limitations of science," Moore said. "Most people think that if you take enough people in lab coats and throw enough money at them, then you can find the answer to any question. Of course that isn't true. Science actually has its absolute limit." He said there are so many variables that trigger climate change - other than CO2 - that it is "impossible to sort out the root cause."

After seeing what Algore spends and uses, do I get anything back for what I do not use? I mean, is there any financial reimbursement for a very low carbon footprint? If not, why bother? Do any of the worlds morons ask this question?

The only significant "Global Warming Gas" in Earth's atmosphere is water vapor.

Almost as if it were some grand plan, this water vapor, when solar influx is at its most intense, is wafted aloft to form highly reflective cloud tops, which put a quick cap on further warming. Quite ingenious! I'll bet Al Gore wishes he had invented that!

The Global Warming alarmists and Gaia worshippers, intent on promoting this scam before the truth can catch up with it, want to have laws passed, and United Nations Committees instituted. After which it will be too late to dislodge them.

The real inconvenient truth is that the Earth warms and cools based mainly on its orbital eccentricity, axial tilt, and the precession, or wobble of Earth's rotation which follows a twenty-three thousand year cycle, one of the Milankovitch Cycles, and the shortest one.

The preliminary evidence available from our short study of climatic variation is that Carbon Dioxide variability has almost nothing to with global temperatures. If anything at all has been changing, it is the amount of sunlight coming to us, and to Mars as well.

One further point that I like to make is that global warming is actually a good thing, promoting the growth of food in longer growing seasons, and an extension of the latitudes suitable for crops to be grown.

I would be even more in favor of it if it didn't take thousands of years to melt all that pesky ice left over from the last ice age. We've been warming for eighteen thousand years, and there's still a lot of ice to deal with!
