Best-selling right-wing author Ann Coulter, speaking to a conservative audience in Washington Friday, called former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., a "faggot."
Coulter was a featured speaker at the 34th annual Conservative Political Action Conference. Following her prepared remarks, televised on C-Span, Coulter was asked to talk about Edwards.
"It turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot,' so I'm kind of at an impasse -- I can't really talk about Edwards," she said.

Uh oh! No she di-int? She went there. It's one thing to call someone a Nazi, but she crossed the line with that one.
I don't know where you come from but I thought it was an honorable thing to be a Fag, Homo queer etc. Isn't that what is being espoused in our schools, courts etc.
It boggles the mind that someone somewhere thinks this is important enough to write a news story about. Sheesh.

This will be an attempt by MSM to marginalize Ann C. This is the risk Ann takes when she comes up with this stuff. The gamble is, is she too accepted as a pundit to be completely shut out, or can she ride this out? We all know that MSM will try to make her out as an extreme idiologue, but will it stick?
The wording: unfortunate.
The lack of tact: not surprising.

Simply put, faggots are a type of meatball dish served in a rich gravy. Not really. She phrased it to appear to not say it, but by doing what she did, she was saying it. In her comments, her tongue in cheek regret is she would have to enter rehab if she said it. Well, she said it by saying she can't say it. It would be the same as saying I was going to have a few words to say about black people but because you would be charged with a hate crime if I referred to them as the N word.......
Face it, the woman acts like a jerk.
Ann just does it for fun. She's declared war on both political correctness and wimpiness.

It was a joke and I laughed when I read it. Oh well. I'm still waiting for Hillary to apologize for her vast right wing conspiracy comment because of her belief that her husband wouldn't dare be cheating on her with an intern in the oral office. Looks like a lot of people are going to be waiting for things that aren't going to happen.
Immediately the substance of the matter is lost as the target of their abuse shifts to defending himself against the bastards' billingsgate.
Meanwhile, the left moves on to another "issue" and more name calling.

I've actually found myself wondering if Coulter is a liberal agent provocateur. The problem is that satire is truly dead -- you can't say anything so comically over the top that some group of folks won't line up to applaud it.
