CHICAGO, March 5 The Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., senior pastor of the popular Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago and spiritual mentor to Senator Barack Obama, thought he knew what he would be doing on Feb. 10, the day of Senator Obamas presidential announcement.
After all, back in January, Mr. Obama had asked Mr. Wright if he would begin the event by delivering a public invocation.
But Mr. Wright said Mr. Obama called him the night before the Feb. 10 announcement and rescinded the invitation to give the invocation.
Fifteen minutes before Shabbos I get a call from Barack, Mr. Wright said in an interview on Monday, recalling that he was at an interfaith conference at the time. One of his members had talked him into uninviting me, Mr. Wright said, referring to Mr. Obamas campaign advisers.
Some black leaders are questioning Mr. Obamas decision to distance his campaign from Mr. Wright because of the campaigns apparent fear of criticism over Mr. Wrights teachings, which some say are overly Afrocentric to the point of excluding whites. snip...
When his enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli to visit Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, Mr. Wright recalled, with Farrakhan, a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell. Mr. Wright added that his trip implied no endorsement of either Louis Farrakhans views or Qaddafis.
Mr. Wright said that in the phone conversation in which Mr. Obama disinvited him from a role in the announcement, Mr. Obama cited an article in Rolling Stone, The Radical Roots of Barack Obama.

Gutless wonder.
Note to 'Rat supporters: Still think character doesn't count?
Would someone named Hillary have something to do with the Slimes printing this story? Isn't the Times the official Clinton newspaper of record?
Wright's check from the Hillary! campaign must have been a big one.
Poor Obama...he just thought he knew dirty politics from Chicago. He hasn't seen anything yet. Wait till his cat turns up dead...
JUST what I was thinking...this is, after all, pretty old news.
"...before Shabbos..."??? [see article above]
When will the fool realize that if you try and please everyone then you will only succeed at pleasing no one.

Links to the Church and Obama's friends Iraq quiz in post 9. I'd distance myself too, until I was elected. Sounds like Rev. Wright might make a fine Secretary of State.
Either his church has problems (some consider it a racist organization), or he is not a true believer.
Perhaps both.
There is also the 'racist' aspect but considering that they are a Black organization whose stated mission is the betterment of 'their' community no one should be surprised or even offended that their web message is replete with 'afro-centric' verbiage.
Better yet....
Note to Jooos that vote democrat...

Trinity United Church of Christ is a blatantly political organization.
Is Trinity United Church of Christ exempt from paying taxes?
"Would someone named Hillary have something to do with the Slimes printing this story? Isn't the Times the official Clinton newspaper of record?"
Could it be that the writer of this article, Jodi Kantor, is the offspring of Mickey Kantor, big wheel in the Clinton administration and partner in former democrat national party chairman Chuck Manatt's law firm?
You may very well be correct, but also please note that Kantor is a fairly common Jewish name.
Satan is doing cartwheels
Wright is whiter than Hussein 'Bama
That struck me also...
