There was a big 'gang problem summit' that Atty. Gen. Gonzales just attended. He's going to educate and get jobs for the latino gang bangers. And here I thought his job was enforcing the LAW, not education.

From Dobbs 2/5/07

ALBERTO GONZALES, U.S. ATTORNEY GENERAL: These are individuals who have run into a spell of tough luck.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0703/05/ldt.01.html

The Los Angeles region alone has 120,000 gang members. Gang crime here jumped 14 percent last year.

GONZALES: I have an obligation to ensure that the laws are enforced and that people are prosecuted. But I'm equally concerned with making sure that we're taking steps as a government, both at the federal, state, local level, to provide educational programs, to provide job opportunities, to prevent these kids from joining gangs in the first place.

WIAN: Gangs now control several L.A. communities and increasingly operate across international borders. But most political leaders downplay the link between failed border security and gang violence and they continue to support sanctuary policies that prevent local police from arresting illegal alien gang members for immigration offenses. VILLARAIGOSA: We need to ensure that the victims of crime, that witnesses to crime come forward. And so, we don't want them to believe that we're going to report them to ICE.

WIAN: Attorney General Gonzales says he believes it's important to fight gangs in a way that respects human dignity.

Well here's something for presidential candidates on both sides of the aisle to either support or oppose publicly.

I thought that the only thing that Ted ever reached out for was his bottle of scotch.

If Bush goes with this and these candidates don't step forward, this will spawn the greatest third party revolution this country has ever seen. Buckle up.

Kennedy can be bought for a few cases of tequilla. Just like his father who was bought for a nice share of the Canadian whiskey trade during prohibition.

Kennedy lives under his own set of laws.

which includes a 1986-like Guest Worker Amnesty program

Refresh my memory please. Who was it that pushed the 1986 Amnesty bill through the Senate and right past the distracted eye of an American public too busy having fun with Wang Chung tonight? Why it was none other than that Submarine Commander hisself...Admiral Teddy of the USS Chappaquidick.

If he had driven a Volkswagen, he'd be President.

Let's see where were at on that. Tancredo, Hunter have spoken out against amnesty. As far as I know the rest are all for it.

cripplecreek, do you know who has the illegal alien ping list?

Well, that sure hasn't worked. It seems you guys have sent these kids right into the arms of the gangs. What are they? Your new security police.

He should have stopped right here. That's his only job. PERIOD.

"But I'm equally concerned with making sure that we're taking steps as a government, both at the federal, state, local level, to provide educational programs, to provide job opportunities, to prevent these kids from joining gangs in the first place."

Exactly where is this found in his job description?

"God rest their [Kennedys] souls"

Pardon me, but I have a special request for the Almighty, as to what He should really do with the filth-laden souls of this pack of misbegotten hellions!

Pox on the Kennedys for what they did to America!

Yes he does, in spades. The entire Washington cabal, save a few, want to dump the entire MESS on the backs of the U.S. citizen and taxpayer. Which, by the way, is paying for all of it now anyway. ALL OF IT. And NOBODY looks beyond amnesty...when will the NEXT amnesty be? And how many MORE MILLIONS OF ILLEGAL CRIMINALS will be set free and called American citizens in our country?? NOBODY in Washington gives a damn. And they all have varying PERSONAL agendas with it --- globalism, ONE-AMERICA, votes, power, control, money....all at the expense of the REAL U.S. citizen who pays all the bills....

This is the line I'm still gagging on.

ALBERTO GONZALES, U.S. ATTORNEY GENERAL: These are individuals who have run into a spell of tough luck.

Spell of tough luck??? Yeah, that's what their victims thought.

PERIOD

That's what he was HIRED to do, but....

His interests "..to provide educational programs, to provide job opportunities, to prevent these kids from joining gangs in the first place" should have been left to the congressional bleeding hearts where it belongs..

Gonzales is a problem,not a solution....

And NOBODY looks beyond amnesty...

The Democrats are looking beyond it, and I'm sure they like what they see -- tens of millions of brand new Democrat voters and eventually their extended families. .....an unfathomable number of third-worlders. Are the amnesty-pushing Pubbies under the delusion that they'll be able to win over a significant portion of this gigantic block through their pandering efforts? Evidently so. ....continuing to add to their "Stupid Party" legacy.

For Kennedy and the rest of the rat pack, it is about the votes and keeping rats in power.
