Even Vivien Leigh did a better job of faking a Southern accent than ol' Hillary.
She must be tone-deaf, she lived in Arkansas for quite awhile and ought to be able to fake it better than that.
But aside from that, her voice is just UGLY. Ugly, ugly, ugly. Screechy, flat vowels, pushing, nasal . . . sort of a "how not to talk" lesson for everybody.
And she was from Scotland.

My hubby and I both sing, so we're good at catching accents (it really does help, something about learning to identify and replicate pitch). When we were in Scotland, after we'd been there about a week we had taken on protective coloration and sounded just about like everybody else. We were dressing like everybody else just because we wanted not to be taken for American tourists.
We'd be talking to people in the street or the post office or wherever, and they'd ask, "Are you on holiday?" (the Scottish equivalent of "You ain't from 'round here, ar you?") We'd say yes, and then they would guess where we were from . . . Yorkshire, Canada, Ireland, Norfolk . . . but never the U.S. And NOBODY would believe us when we fessed up! It was pretty funny.
Hey . . . that reminds me of something! We KNOW Hillary can't sing (remember the "Star Spangled Banner" debacle?) so that's probably why she can't fake an accent either.
I'm just glad she hasn't tried to fake a New York accent. Just the thought makes me want to stick a fork in my ear.

Michelle is practicing more than Hillary probably did. Someone I heard, can't remember where, said Mrs. Bill Clinton was doing her Yosemite Sam impression. How funny.
AH, but was she a Braves fan back in the 70s when they were losing even to the "Hapless Mets", and you could buy a bleacher ticket and then sit on the first base line in ATL-Fulton County Stadium?

For some reason when I thought of Hillary, the "Addams Family" theme kept pounding in my brain - with the words "Hillary [Forrest] Gump. After letting it rattle around in my brain a while, I came up with this as a first draft:

In the past Hillary's has had trouble keeping the historical facts of well-known women like Harriett Tubman and Soujourner Truth straight. How much longer is the black community going to accept her phoniness?
This is so true. It is hard for me to think that the American people will want to listen to even five minutes of a Hillary campaign speech. Her flat vowels (which AnAmericanMother notes) just grind upon one's ear. The screechy voice tonality also doesn't help things. I can't recall ever hearing such an irritating public speaker.
You kind of wonder why it never occurred to her to have taken speech lessons years ago if the Presidency was her ambition.
When I was a high school student I wanted so bad to be a radio announcer and accordingly I enrolled in every speech-related course in high school and college that I could find. All of them accented the "rounding" of the vowel sounds. Not hard to do with practice and the results are remarkable.
And she lived on Durango Street!

Singing is closely connected with good public speaking. I once recorded some radio PSAs for an organization I was involved in -- I had never recorded anything (other than choral singing of course), but I approached the mike as though I were singing - good deep breathing, round tones, steady pacing, enunciation.
I got away in one take. The engineer asked if I was in radio.
Let's face it: Hitlery can mess up everything she does. And I'm really hoping she messes up her campain so badly that she's laughed out of the running.

She is tone deaf. When she was caught singing the Star Spangled Banner on an open mike it was clear that she is completely tone deaf. So, it isn't surprising that she doesn't do accents well.
But . . . when they were trying to rehabilitate Bubba back around the time of the whole Monica thing, didn't they sing in the choir at that church they went to? Or was that just Bubba? Or did they tell her just to move her lips?
Don't know, but she can't carry a tune in a bucket..

Why, you silly person, lessons are for little people like you and me. Her majesty is entitled to the presidency and also entitled to hurt our ear drums if she so chooses.
