Rising tension from Greek soldiers' anti-Albanian song

Tirana, March 7, 2007 (AENews) – Protests against Greek soldiers' anti-Albanian song is rising in Albania while politicians have called for a contained and calm response.

In Durres and Elbasan, protesters burned Greek flags while the entire population is bewildered by the level of hatred and violence in the text of Greek Soldiers' song.

A private video showing Greek soldiers singing "We are gone a make shoe-strings with Albanian guts" was published last week on the Internet, then was commented by the Greek and Albanian media.

Foreign Relations committee in the Albanian Parliament called Thursday on the population to stop burning Greek flags, commenting the video as an isolated case. Head of the Committee, Prec Zogaj, said that Albanians need to wait till the end of the investigation by the Greek government over the authenticity of the video. In Athens, the Greek government expressed doubts about the authenticity of the video.

I've heard Greeks say though that they do like the cheap labor from Albanians, and that the price of any crime is worth it for the boost in the economy, at least to some.

Do you think the video is authentic?

It could be fake but accurate.

The Brits made up an anti-american song called Yankee Doodle Dandy and we sing it with gusto.

Do you think the video is authentic?

It's not whether it's real or fake, but whether the seriousness of such a song, if it were ever sung by anyone, raises or does not raise the level of this accusation. /MSM speak off

"We are gone a make shoe-strings with Albanian guts"

One sided reporting. They need to first ask what the Albanian soldiers have been making out of Greek guts for the past 600 years that made the Greeks angry enough to sing this song.

We are gone a make shoe-strings with Albanian guts

I take it the song is more poetic in Greek?

Greeks are just trying to emphasize "how unfair the Greeks are to Albanians" , so that they can do the same thing to Greeks that they did to the Serbs -- steal land.

I'd be banned from FR if I said what I really felt; especially this base implication that T%heodoros Kolokotronis was an Albanian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There have been three groups of "Albanians" who have lived in Greece; the Illyrians, an ancient race which became Hellenized centuries before Christ, people like the Hydriotes who were Greeks from No. Epirus, the Albanian Mohammedan apostates who came down to Athens and the surrounding areas with the Turks and finally the flea bitten dogs whom the EU (and certain capitalist interests in ND) pretty much forced Greece to accept under Mitsotakis and since.

The reason we hate the Albanians is because they are violent, uncivilized, barely (?) human Mohammedan apostates who, as they did in Serbia and during the Greek Revolution, cooperated with our oppressors at every opportunity, not because they are, some of them, descended from the Illyrians or gave us from among the Epirotes such heroes of the Revolution as Bouboulina of Hydros!

I saw that "Kolokotronis" and just couldn't resist calling you.

You are right about the Albanians.

I remember a good friend of mine who worked as a translator for the courts 20+ years ago. (He's now a Judge.) He was always a fair-minded guy, not really prone to prejudices and bigotry. Well, one day he got a Kosovo Albanian defendant to translate for and there were no Albanian translators available, but the Albanian spoke Serbian so George agreed to translate for him. George worked on his case for months.

A few months later my friend George and I had lunch and he asks me "if I know anything about Albanians". I said that I didn't. He looks across the table at me and says, "They are the most violent people on earth!" and he proceeds to start telling me about "blood feuds" (which is what his case was about) and "killing seasons" -- and all this stuff. Frankly, I though that this was just something off-the-wall that happened with this case, but I've since read that many Albanians still live by a 15th century set of laws called Kanun of Lek Dukagjin that demands "blood for blood".

He said that the defendant (who was eventually convicted) sat there and told George, without emotion, that he had killed 17 people in all, but "only one" here in the US. This "one" was the last of the family line and the man had escaped to the US, so he decided to follow him to kill him. The killer's own family loaned him the money so he could "take care of the job here in the US". George said it was really creepy listening to this stuff. Apparently this whole blood fued originally started over a woman accused of cheating on her husband -- and by the end of it, something like 50 people were dead! Totally nuts!

Bokababe is a Serb, and historically there has been a traditional hatred between Albanians and Serbs, so it's normal to see Serbs and Greeks (Kolokotronis) group together against the "common enemy."
Bokababe needs to know Serbs better, just like the world did during the violent break up of Yugoslavia.

Online you still find Serbs who just want to kill more Bosnians and Croats, while even in Australia Serbs continue to clash like barbarians even in tennis games.

http://www.theage.com.au/news/tennis/gangs-warn-of-more-violence/2007/01/15/1168709679555.html

Poll results continue to show that Greeks are also one of the most xenophobic and the most anti-American European nation, while Albanians continue to be the most pro-American.

Being a member of NATO for so many years should have made Greeks more professional but hatred keeps fueling "moral songs."

Nowhere in Europe or western Europe can be seen such levels of racism. Can you believe this happening in US???

Doubt your little ploy will work on FR -- with a few dhimmi-in-training exceptions.

Most of the people here have learned the little tricks Muslims use -- like saying the most vile, horrid things about non-Muslims and then when their target fights back, they yell, "Racism! Unfair!, Blah, Blah, Blah" In your world, Muslims are always "the victim" and never "the victimizer" -- and save the "Mother Theresa bull."

Sorry to tell you that Serbs don't own Wikipedia -- which I quoted. You telling me that Albanians don't still have blood-fueds? Or that the Albanian mafia, which trafficks in weapons, sex slavery and drugs, doesn't exist either? Then tell Interpol!

Here is a list of articles from reputable American newspapers the 1980's, before the Albanian Lobby & PR machine kicked into high gear to steal Kosovo. The Albanian mob in NY even put out a hit on Rudy Guiliani at one point! Was that because they were so "pro-American?"

The Albanians are "pro-Clinton and pro-Holbrook" , not "pro-American". (PS his article was written by a Jew, not a a Serb or Greek, so do you have an excuse for why "Jews" have a problem with you, too?) Your people just used America to do its dirty work -- and if you find out America won't give you Kosovo, you'll turn on the US in a heartbeat! So who do you think you are fooling?

The picture from outside the Australian tennis stadium shows a CROAT kicking at younger Serbs. You see behind him another Croat wearing a red and white checkered shirt - Croat symbolism, while those he's kicking are wrapped in Serbian flags. He (a man in his twenties) and another Croat ran at the Serb teens and kicked them, but the Serbs had long flagpoles and just brought them down on the dude's shoulders. I heard he got hurt, but he deserved it for initiating the physical violence. He's a thuggish punk and you can see it from the photo.
