Can anyone in Arizona say definitively that a border fence is currently being built? An eyewitness account or documented article.

The only question is whether it gets vetoed or she figures out some other way to undermine the intent.

The Sierra Vista Herald ran a series of articles in February about the completion of one stretch of fence and the beginning of another.

And the military has been building/repairing walls/fences/vehicle barricades down here now for going on three years.

If you remember the brou-ha-ha yesterday over the incursion of border patrol into Mexico, you probably also saw the article posted last week on FR about a similar incursion by USMC Reservists building a wall along the border across from Naco or Agua Prieta.

If Napolitano gets the money, she needs to be held responsible for where it goes. Hold her feet to the fire, Arizona!

And as soon as Gov. Janet Napolitano sends the Arizona National Guard troops to the state border with Mexico President Bush will have the DOD call them to Active Duty and send them to IRAQ.

This is a good step forward. I wonder how long it will take before the Feddies tell them they can't do it.

My ex-wife lives on a ranch about 60 miles south of the Douglas, AZ sector of the border. An anti-vehicle barrier is being, quite rapidly, apparently constructed along sections of the border as well as anti-personnel fencing at some of the border crossing points.

I just talked to her last night about this and she says there is no doubt that enforcement in her area has been stepped up dramatically.
