Dear Lord. I hope this **** is nailed before the day is done.
Prayers that they find the baby unharmed and quickly.
BTTT! Just saw a video of a possible suspect on CNN.
Amber Alert Ping!
Please God...return this baby to his/her parents. This is sick. Just sick.
Missing person ping.

The suspect:

Texas FReepers please be especially alert.
Blessings,
trussell
If you want on/off my missing person ping list, please let me know. All requests happily honored.
Thanks for that. It showed up, of all places, on my Weatherbug. Lubbock is only 120 miles north of us. Prayers for the return of this little one!
My son is a cop in Lubbock. He's on vacation now in Austin but he may be able to give me the lowdown on what's going on. By the way I looked at your profile page. Good picture of the old Bush house in Odessa. Looks like the one we lived in over in Hobbs.
That would be great if your son could help out in some way, even though on vacation. Prayers for this baby to be safe, and the perp to be strung up by her/his thumbs!
Glad you enjoyed the profile. I have visited that house...the original tub is still there. Imagine little 3-year old GW.....LOL!
This innocent newborn's cries rip at our very hearts. We, who can do so little, know that when we pray to the One who can do all things, we are following Your Will for us. Father, hold this little one in Your arms and keep watch over her until she is safely returned to her mother. Convict the kidnapper of this evil and may she turn around in her tracks and right what was wrong. Place people in her way who can sight her and rescue this child. There are many servants of Yours, Lord, who are ready and willing to help. Please use anyone and any way You choose to help this precious baby. We know You will provide for all her physical needs and will comfort this mother until her baby is safely reunited with her. Make haste to help them, O God. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Same here. I thought there was a weather alert for high winds today, and was surprised to see the Amber Alert.
LOL! Me, too. It's ALWAYS the wind...and sand...this time of year. Especially with our West Texas Relays going on. It's a tradition to have a sandstorm accompany them!
I just hate that this has happened again in Lubbock!
Did it happen before in Lubbock?
Only a couple of months ago a small child was taken. She was found safe. I don't remember the details, but remember the anxiety of the city when it happened!
Praying for this little ones safe return.
My wife and I recently (8 months ago) had a baby. The wife had to spend several weeks in the hospital for complications that could have constituted their own prayer thread. I spent the entire time with her and the baby, sleeping on a couch in her room. The hospital had draconian security rules that I detested at the time, because they really limited the ways that I could assist my wife and my new baby. Looking back, I'm glad that I spent that time cursing the nazi hospital staff rather than having to sweat the fact that lax rules allowed my baby to be abducted.
Just saw a video on Headline news. It looks like she just put the baby in a shoulder strap type purse and walked out the door! She had on a heavy parka.
May the hands that formed this earth reach out and bring this innocence home safely.
I heard this one on the radio this morning. I'm in Austin keeping my eyes pealed.
well they should have noticed something was up you didn't need a heavy coat like that here last night even if it was 1 in the morning
We Cry to Thee, our Lord, for the Wellbeing of this Dear Little Child. Send Forth Thy Word, Your Majesty, for the Safety of this Sweet Little Lamb. Move Upon the Kidnapper's Heart, Bringing Repentance, and a Forsaking of her Evil Ways. Wrap the Grieving Mother with Love, and Help her to Cling to Your Saving Grace. Mantle the Child with the King's Protection, Gracious Lord.
We Honor and Worship You, and Thank You for Hearing our Prayers. In the Name of our Jesus, we Exalt You Dearest Lord, amen.
Thanks for the ping. Prayers for the baby's safe return.

Wow, good info you found there. In the article it said she posed as a hospital employee. Quick change artist!!
Prayer warriors.....heads up!!!!
Friggin PATHETIC!
Prayers up.
This is all over the news here. It takes a real scumbag to steal an infant from a hospital. It also requies that someone is stupid because the amount of surveillance at the hospital.
When caught, this woman is going to be very "popular" in prison.
Praying for everyone involved.....
It really makes me angry. Am I wrong or was there another child abducted up there just recently?
I HOPE that this monster gets what she deserves! How are the parents doing? I haven't heard anything about them.
Authorities say they have received several tips, and they are following credible leads in the kidnapping of the three day old baby.
According to Lubbock Police, the suspect posed as a Covenant employee and entered the victim's hospital room on several occasions. Ultimately, she told the family that the infant needed to be removed for testing. The child was reported missing at about 1:20am Saturday.
The child is Mychael Darthard-Dawodu, a three day old African American female. She is approximately 19 inches long, 5 pounds 7 ounces. She is jaundiced, and in need of medical attention.
The suspect is described as an African American female in her early 20's, approximately 5'3" tall and 150 pounds. She has a round face and black hair that has been dyed auburn and was pulled back in a short ponytail. She was last seen wearing a pink hospital scrub style shirt with purple and blue flowers, blue scrub style pants, a gray jacket with fur around the hood, and carrying a tan handbag. Police believe the child was possibly carried out of the hospital in that bag.
She was last seen in a 2000-2006 red Dodge pick-up truck with black trim and tinted windows. The vehicle was last seen in the parking lot of Covenant Lakeside. A black male may have been waiting inside the truck.
Lt. Scott Hudgens said that they have no reason to believe that the family or the staff knew the suspect prior to the kidnapping.
Lubbock Police Crimes Against Persons and Juvenile Crimes sections are working this case, in conjunction with the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
Authorities urge the kidnapper to take the child to a safe location, so that the child may be reunited with her mother.
If you have information about this crime, please call: 775-2788 Juvenile Crimes or 741-1000 Crimeline.
LPD Sketch

Thanks for that. I hope they find her before something bad happens. She is so tiny! Poor little thing. I'll bet her parents are beside themselves with worry and grief!
There was an incident like this in the past 12 months. If I recall correctly, the kidnapper was a friend of the family (gee, some friend).
Like I said, she'll be very "popular" in prison.
Yes, that's what I was remembering too, that it was a "friend" who kidnapped the toddler.
I hope she IS "popular". Even prisoners have no use for baby-abusers...and this is clearly abuse, at least!
Hub Ping
Praying
Now I'm recalling something about a baby who was kidnapped who had a birthmark on his/her forehead and the perp had put makeup on it to hide it.
A family member had become suspicious about the "new baby" in the family when they saw the make-up rubbed off on the baby's little hat.
Prayers up for this little one!
I live five blocks from Covenant. Volunteers and the authorities are turning the area upside down trying to find this baby. The suspect resembles someone I know (a nurse at a different hospital) and I have given the name to the police. I don't like to do that on the basis of a sketch, and she is probably innocent, but every lead has to be pursued.
Someone, somewhere, has to know who this person is and where the baby is.
Look at my post #44
Great shot. I hope it is helpful in finding this...this...I even hate to say "person"!
Thanks for the ping. There is a constant crawler across the bottom of the local TV stations. Hope they find this baby soon.
PS: come to think of it, I didn't hear about this until this evening, but now the deputy standing near the entrance of the new Market Street makes more sense (especially since he wasn't watching people leave, but just arrive, and since that store isn't a known "loss prevention" type of store). I'll bet the LEOs are watching local retail outlets for anyone who might be coming in buy "baby supplies".
I honestly think that it is only a matter of time before the perp is caught. Her face is now on TV and the internet. My real concern is for the child; I hope that the child is found soon...and alive.
From what I've heard/read, the perp had been in contact w the parents for "several hours" and said something about needing to take the baby for "treatment".
The AJ website says police have been stopping red Dodge pickups all day.
