Russians: Iran nuke plant to be delayed

MOSCOW - The state-run Russian company building Iran's first nuclear power plant said Monday that the reactor's launch will be postponed because of Iranian payment delays. ADVERTISEMENT

"It will be impossible to launch the reactor in September, and there can be no talk about supplying fuel this month," Atomstroiexport said in a statement that followed the collapse of bilateral talks last week on the funding dispute.

Yep, a face saving move with the catalyst being the US gearing for attack on Iran and stationing missle defense in Poland/Czech Republic. Russia can no longer be diplicate about their involvement with Iran in building their nuke problem.

That's something Bush has got right. If Iran builds a nuke, they will use it against the USA or Israel via terror proxy. Our DOD and most people on this forum know who ultimately would be to blame and that is Russia. While Russia has advanced light years in the last two or three years in rebuilding their military complex, they know the outcome of a conflict with the USA at this point would be suicide. We must be very careful, Russia is more dangerous now in it's declined state then when it was the Soviet Union. It's a shame they have resorted to old cold war tactics instead of fully cooperating with the West as a respected player. I see a coordinated bloc socialist network like we did in the cold war so we must be prepared once more for a major global conflict.
