On MSNBC NOW, Duncan Hunter is about to appear on Hardball. He's just returned from Iraq.
Right after Hardball ends, Duncan Hunter will appear on CNN's Loud Dobbs program. According to the site, the discussion pertains to Ramos and Compean.
Go watch!
Maybe after this his poll numbers will double again... from 1 to 2%!
:-)

If Sissy lets him speak.
He's on now!
Thanks for the thread - I'm going to miss the show, I'll look forward to reading the comments!
The polls that matter right now are not in USA Today and the NY TImes. They are in the grassroots. Hunter is kicking butt.
You'd have to bind and gag me to get me to warch Hardball.
Here's Hunter's take on Iraq that you wanted to hear about.
"You will see surges of violence before these deadlines." ~ Duncan Hunter on Democrat Timeline Plans

Hunter was great and the only candidate who can roll on with the facts re the war.
David Gregory knew he was dealing with not the usual schmoozer congressman but a person who has been there done that and speaks with authority
This evening, Congressman Hunter will be appearing on MSNBC's Hardball at 5:30 PM EST and CNN's Lou Dobb's Tonight at 6:30 PM EST to discuss his recent trip to Iraq and his plan for the successful handoff of battlefield duties to the Iraqi army.
At 7:18 AM EST tomorrow, Congressman Hunter will be appearing on FOX and Friends to discus
Make that Hunter with 403 votes. ;o)
Tha guy Duncan Hunter was a good speaker! How come we've never seen him on TV before now?
Hunter had a good call-in report from Iraq to Glenn Beck's radio program yesterday. He gave an upbeat assessment of the progress there.
[Too bad Glenn only makes the interview available on his pay site. Maybe the GoHunter08 website could get a tape of that and make it available.]
DH did a superb job!
I know I'm supporting the best man for the Presidency!
My 17 year old mentioned his hair. He said, "Looks like he just combs his own hair like a regular guy."
Not what I expected from him! 8^)
Now that you've seen him, you will start noticing how often he is on TV. He is looked to by the pundits on several areas of his expertise. He's on CNN a lot.
..Let's Build That Fence Bump!
You've not been made aware of exact times for his appearances before, or else you weren't available at those times. We HAVE seen and heard him before, but it's true, not everyone has. My introduction to him was in his role as Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, on CSpan. Now he is demoted to the ranking minority member because the Dems took over. But he can still be seen in that roll on Cspan if you can hit the timing right.
He's a conservative Republican who speaks well, makes sense and can control the discussion.
The drive-by-media's worst nightmare!
Lou Dobbs is on.
In other words, Duncan Hunter is a statesman!
REFLECTIONS PROJECT REP. HENRY HYDE INTERVIEW JULY 16, 2006 [snip]
DOUGLASS: And do you think there are many statesmen in Congress?
HYDE: I think there are lots of potential statesmen. I think there are some pretty good people here, really outstanding. Duncan Hunter is a is a man of high principle [and] courage in a very tough job. Were lucky to have him.

Transcript of Hunter's segment on Hardball will be up on MSNBC.com within 24 hours.
Did you hear this...again...."Family values don't stop at the border..."
Geeez, get this guy some new material!
And Mexico, our ally? They rarely vote with us in the UN, send us their undesirables by the millions, chummy with Chavez, Iran, etc.
Ally? Boy, are we in trouble.
Lou Dobbs poll!
Do you believe Attorney General Alberto Gonzales should resign?
Yes 94% 1521 votes
No 6% 89 votes
Total: 1610 votes
Do you realize, within the last week, Hunter has spoken at CPAC, been to Iraq, been on TV at least 8 times I can think of,several radio interviews, introduced legislation, held press conferences, ran a campaign and has still done his job in Congress.
Who was asking about management skill?
There is even a "Theme Park" where people can "pretend to be migrants and "run across the border"..gasp!
I guess it's their version of our young Republican's game "How to catch an illegal"...LOL.
sw
Hey, at least he's appearing tomorrow morning on FOX & Friends around 7:18 AM.
sw
I'm gonna miss it.
Gotta go to Scouts.
Maybe it'll be rebroadcast.
Freep it!

Lou reruns in the middle of the night, set your vcr!
Btw, have meant to say thank you for your service, airborne. Then and now!
Hunter is on NOW.
Duncan Hunter was excellent in both interviews.
Huh. That certainly didn't last long.
Oh well, he's certainly getting exposure.
Remember, FOX & Friends tomorrow morning!
This was the best that I've seen him look so far. I like the guy, but he sometimes comes across as 'non-remeberabel'.
Unfortunately, the people will elect our next president vote on sizzle as much as substance.
Please add me to this ping list--thanks!
Most unfortunate indeed. Please keep in mind, this is a 'working' congressman, not one who just smiles for the cameras. Do you realize, within the last week, Hunter has spoken at CPAC, been to Iraq, been on TV at least 8 times I can think of,several radio interviews, introduced legislation, held press conferences, ran a campaign and has still done his job in Congress.
In light of the horrendous speaking slot, Hunter should have had a staffer or volunteer place a fact sheet about him under everyones door at the Omni. Other campaigns did this, including that of a self-financed businessman.
Had Hunter passed on the information and included his second-place results in South Carolina, he would have done far better in the CPAC poll. His 5% rating in this poll hurt.
You summed it up well. CSpan not airing Hunters speech live was not helpful either. They did show it in rerun however.
Yup... I realize. Unfortunately I'm right wing lunatic fringe material.
My point is that he's gotta get 'into the hearts and minds' of Joe Sixpack and Soccer Mom to have a chance to win the general election.
More unfortunately, I've not seen the 'spark' with Duncan.
If we pull one out of the hat and get an "R" in the oval office again, I'd see Hunter as a GREAT guy for Sec. Def. or even a VP slot... I just can't envision him capturing the nation to will as POTUS.
What do you expect the President to say while in Mexico? Tell them they suck? I'm more concerned about what Bush does than what his pleasantries while visiting foreign countries. Unfortunately his actions are what worry me w.r.t. Mexico.
Polls, Schmolls.
And maybe Rudy will win over all the pro-lifers, pro-gun folks, anti-gay marriage folks, and pro-sovereignty folks (keep dreaming, Princess).
Hunter's got a looong ways to go to energize REAL conservatives and those who still believe in a "Republican Party Platform."
Have you heard about the Media/RNC Blackout?
Now you know why.
In light of the horrendous speaking slot, Hunter should have had a staffer or volunteer place a fact sheet about him under everyones door at the Omni. Other campaigns did this, including that of a self-financed businessman. I can hear the RNC RINO punks snickering as they made out the schedule.
Hunter's GOT to get this thing rolling. Why doesn't he hire Ross Perot for some guidance?
Calderon and Fox are/were not Chummy with Chavez. He supported the leftists opposition.
