This is no different from 6 years ago when Bush entered office.

The US needs to reform immigration.

Back then, Bush thought that it could be done in a way to benefit the GOP and GOP constituents.

Today, Bush knows that it will be done in a way to benefit the dems.

I'm not saying one has to stop doing anything with regard to voicing their displeasure, just to examine their heads if they choose to use words such as "betrayal," or "I didn't know."

Swab it with Hoppes No. 9 (but don't use the entire bottle - you may need it later).

Unless the tapeworms in DC ban it also.

Looks like "the decider" has decided to continue to sell out this country. I voted for him, and I never did like his father or him. But it was the best choice that I had. Anyone left in this country who hasn't lost all hope in stopping this illegal invasion needs to support: NumbersUSA. They have a really slick system to fax Congress from your computer. They also pay lobbyists to lobby on behalf of US, not corporations.

Then again, abstaining would have been the best answer for me.

It's pathetic that we only have RHINO's as choices.

We get the majority of our oil from Canada and Mexico.
It's rumored that Mexico needs money to drill for more oil and U.S. companies are eager to help out. In exchange we pump up their economy through illegals coming here.
Illegals for oil.

It's destroying us.

ILEGALS that refuse to assimilate and LEARN the LANGUAGE - cultural terrorists and Islamist terrorists coming over the border - what more could one ask for?

Comprehensive immigration reform was part of Bush's 2000 platform. I've grown tired of pointing it out to you.

No it wasn't. I'm tired of you saying that in 1999 Bush even talked about a "comprehensive immigration" plan. Tell the truth.

I still support Bush on most things, but this immigration thing. I still say a 20 ft. tall, 200,000 volt fence, and a 20 ft. wide moat of boiling oil is the best border control there is. If they can get across that, then they deserve to be here!

[sigh]

The president had put immigration reform at the top of his agenda while campaigning for the presidency in 2000, but after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, it was placed on the back burner as administration officials and legislators worked to beef up border security.

Now that Bush is into his second campaign for the presidency, he hopes to expand support among the Hispanic community, which broke ranks in 2000 by voting in considerable numbers for the Republican candidate. About one-third of Hispanic voters supported Bush in 2000.

Bush Calls for Overhaul of U.S. Immigration System, January 7, 2004.

Bush pledged to revisit guest worker programs and other ways for immigrants to come into the country, but said he would insist on immigration controls and a waiting period before citizenship.

Tell us, rude boy..Back then..did Bush ever spell out what his "comprehensive immigration reform" involved?

Did he ever say we couldn't kick the illegals out of this country, back then?

I can't recall him actually "detailing? his CIR..?
