As of this posting, we do not have awards up for last week's thread. Anyway, you are all winners in my book!
Stay tuned....
To: Alas Babylon!
Thanks for the thread as usual AB-today will be Txsleuth's first shot at judging the thread. We wish her well.
I can't wait to hear Tom Delay he is still a favorite of mine but other than that very few guests to get excited about!
But who cares after yesterday! We kicked major butt in DC and showed the traitor/commies from Answer what the true "Answer" is and they didn't like it at all.

Thanks, AB & Good Morning to EveryOne.
From NBC's press release: "Meet the Press with Tim Russert" won the week ending Sunday, March 11, 2007 in all categories both nationally and in Washington, D.C. The show attracted 3.599 million total viewers, a 28% advantage over "Face the Nation", a 31% lead over "This Week" and 159% more than "Fox News Sunday".
All true, except that few facts were left out.
Meet the Press attracted 5.15 million viewers imediately after 9/11 attacks & maintained it for over an year. In 2004, it's viewers were dipped to 4.15 million. In 2006, it is 3.9 million. Now in 2007, it is 3.599million as stated in their release.
Is this progress for MTP? You decide.
Fox News Sunday & MTP lost 25 to 30% of their viewers, ABC's "This week" is the only show to gain some extra viewers, but that is not additional, but switch from other shows. FNS, however maintains a slight lead over ABC in Washington market alone. Overall collectively, sunday shows didn't gain ANY additional viewership, but it 's the other way.

CBS has Defense Secretary Robert Gates, probably to talk about Walter Reed.
Gates could better do Coulter-Read before his Walter Reed answer.

I don't watch any of the sunday morning political shows anymore. I tape the last half of FNS to hear what Brit Hume has to say. That way I can fast forward when Kristol(McCain)is speaking. The first half is unwatchable with Wallace. This show will never increase its audience as long as Wallace hosts it.

Thats for sure!
Never have I appreciated FNC as much as yesterday after enduring what seemed like an eternity watching C-Spam give us nothing but commie after left wing traitor with their "answer" rally while ignoring all the patriots that were there including FR participants. It was pathetic! I think they let us on for one short segment and that was it. Unbelievably biased.

The same old sorry names week after week except on different programs. Two observations: The only reason I can find for Arlen Specter to be on is that he will be critical of Bush and the administration. He certainly has nothing positive or interesting to say. Second, how will a Sunday morning go by without the wind-bag-in-chief, Joe Biden being found all over the networks? Just the fact he won't be on is reason enough to watch.

-today will be Txsleuth's first shot at judging the thread Hey, TXSLEUTH....it's F I S H T A L K.
Here's some adjectives...."witty, knowledgeable, truthful, insightful".
I also will be making a chocolate ganache cake today, you might want to note this.
In addition, I've taught my dog to eat Democratic dogs and this past week I went before the Sussex county blue-haired Republican ladies this past week and they told me my piece on conservative women was too controversial. Goes to show my tenacity.
This past Weds. I actually MISSED church choir practice to go to a county GOP strategy meeting. Yesterday the GOP called and asked me to head up publicity for their upcoming GOP banquet. Which I am on to, trust me.
Also, TXSLEUTH...I have my speech ready..."I'd like to thank my parents for making me possible...."
It's F I S H T A L K. I will accept my reward with humility. Whatever you do, Txsleuth, don't let them try and bribe you.

It's a dam shame the RNC leadership/ADM. did not support DeLay and I was aghast at what he had to say about everything he said in RNC confidential circles wound up on the front page of rat newspapers the next day that is uncalled for and should never have happened.

IMHO Gonzales should never have apologised unless he qualified it with an apology for not being clear why they were fired and then went on to explain why.
His apology IMHO has left the White House in a position whatever they say and do they will look in the wrong to both sides of the argument dems and pubbies.

I have always believed that it was partly an inside job on Delay and hence why no outrage that there has been when other members of congress have been investigated.
I think certain people feared he was getting too powerful and instead of realsing this was good for the party and for 2006 and 2008 cycle of elections decided that it was time for him to be removed.
Personal jealousy over party loyalty IMHO.

FNS:
First comes the apology tour.
I'm sorry, so sorry
That I was such a fool
I didn't know
Love could be so cruel
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes
You tell me mistakes
Are part of being young
But that don't right
The wrong that's been done
[Spoken:]
(I'm sorry) I'm sorry
(So sorry) So sorry
Please accept my apology
But love is blind
And I was to blind to see
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes
You tell me mistakes
Are part of being young
But that don't right
The wrong that's been done
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes
I'm sorry, so sorry
Please accept my apology
But love was blind
And I was too blind to see
(Sorry)

I couldn't agree more.
President Bush should also tell Leahy that Karl Rove will NOT appear before any committees. If they want to take away the President's authority to hire and fire judges, take it up with the NEXT President.
Oh yeah, and he should end his conversation with Leahy with the "Cheney salutation."

How true but how sad.
Having said that a lot of people need to realise this when they criticize politicians it may not always be their personal view but the view they believe the public at that time want to hear and sometimes we have to swallow that if we want our candidate or party elected.
