It looks like a three way dog fight is emerging between Rudy, McCain, and Romney. As a Romney fan it looks like the advertising in selected states like NH an MI are working.

Most of the posters putting these items up items have been posting here much longer than you or I, so I find it highly unlikely that they're working for a candidate. I don't think anyone's accused Areafiftyone of being on Mayor Giuliani's payroll for posting all the good things Rudy has done.

However, when judging who is best for this country, the facts need to be known. I think the cross-dressing pictures are overdone. But knowing where Mayor Giuliani stands on the 2nd Amendment, Roe vs. Wade, and McCain Feingold is pretty relevant to the core cause of this website:

Statement by the Founder of Free Republic

"As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty."

We'll worry about Hillary when we get there.

But my biggest concern is the scorched earth, making candidates unacceptable, instead of making yours more attractive... is going to lead to a 3rd party candidate

Personally I have been very open about the fact that if a liberal/liar like Rudy/Romney get nominated I will vote for some third option. I don't vote for liberals regardless of party, and Romney is such a fraud it's disgusting.

If you don't like it -- well, I don't care. You're welcome to vote for Hillary if you so desire -- that's your business. But I will continue to promote my view and publicize the good, bad, and ugly about each candidate.

"If Gingrich announces he's in, he'll leap right to the front."

I was about to say the same thing about Thompson.

Rudy and Romney aren't even close to being in the same ballpark. Your calculation that they are is misguided and simply wrong.

"But my biggest concern is the scorched earth, making candidates unacceptable, instead of making yours more attractive... is going to lead to a 3rd party candidate and President Hillary Clinton. And I see the same people doing it time and time again."

Didn't you read any of the threads that JimRob posted on the Rudy topic? It was pretty clear that he doesn't want Rudy leading the party.

This is the primary season and its the time for presenting the facts about the candidates record and position on the issues.

Rudy is a liberal. Romney is a fraud.

Your calculation that they are is misguided and simply wrong.

READING COMPREHENSION.

How does it feel to be a pimp ? An unpaid pimp at that ..

Remember the rule - If you're not supporting Rudy or Hunter - you're pimpin .

Either Fred Thompson has no chance or too few people even know he might be running yet.

Or...this poll is meaningless since it shows McCain leading.

Bunch of paid staffers running around pimping their guy by trashing the rest of the field. And post about it, and it gets pulled in 30 seconds.

Your pulled thread (I read it) was tinfoil stuff. People post their actual opinions here. Voluminously. Proportional to their political passion — which is enormous. The only "official" representative of any kind I've seen this primary season is Hunter's son, which I see no problem with since he clearly identified himself as such. There is absolutely zero evidence for your conspiracy-theory charge, which is why you can bet it was pulled.

I think a lot of people are afraid of uncertainty and think supporting anyone now is better and waiting what the candidates have to say and how things shake out.

I'm not in love with any of the main contenders, though the only one I'm really against is McCain. There just isn't anyone to be for at this point.

The three main ones apologize for what Ann Coulter says, that's pathetic. I'd like a strong leader. Someone who can be trusted.
