The moment it happened, the first act of the Rosie O'Donnells of the world would be to leap into action (well, okay, waddle into action) and condemn Christian fundamentalists because, you know, they're all the same.

Oh, I agree. There are millions of them in America who are in denial about the true nature of our enemies and who only can fear and hate Bush.

As a former flaming liberal myself, I can personally attest that nothing is more important to the liberal than the notion that they are somehow more "open-minded" than everyone else. And in 2007, nothing could be more open-minded than sympathizing with terrorists that want to kill your countrymen.

The moment it happened, I'd feel absolutely murderous, and have a strong need to mete out justice personally. I don't think I'd have the patience to watch our eunuch politicianson the right and leftstand around and point fingers and hold a bunch of how-could-this-have-happened? hearings.
911 horrified me, but I'll admit that it didn't touch a deep, personal place within me. The day one of these terrorists targets our children, there had better not be a mosque within a thousand miles of me. I'll leave at that, I suppose.
