I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
You are the first and the last. Your own hand laid the foundations of the earth and Your right hand spread out the heavens. Your glory is declared by the heavens and the skies proclaim the work of Your hands. You are our faithful God who bows down His ear to hear the prayers of His children. Thank You for allowing us this time of communion with You today, Father. May our prayers rise up as incense before You.
Faithful God, we know that You long to be gracious to our President and that You rise up to show him compassion. Help him to be patient so that he may receive Your blessings even as he waits for answers to his prayers. We pray that You would grant our President a love for life and a desire to see Your goodness around him, for You are the God who teaches him what is best and who directs him in the way he should go. Fill him with the compelling desire to use words that build up, edifying others and encouraging them in their work for the Lord. Grant him with everything he needs to lead the pursuit of peace, not only in this nation, but in the world. Thank you for the courage You have given him to confront the obstacles of freedom---terrorist regimes led by those who hate You and power-thirsty despots who seek only their own gain with no regard for the people whom they lead. In the face of tremendous criticism by the noisy minority of this world, You have caused him to stand tall and strong, knowing that You have made him an instrument of Your peace.
Holy Father, hold fast our military men and women, and provide comfort for them and their families as they spend the coming Holy Days apart from their loved ones. Lord, please comfort and strengthen those in Iraq as they endure tremendous trials and help them to be victorious in every venture. We ask for stability and peace during the coming months and we pray that the door would be open for the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their land. Prepare the hearts of the Iraqi people, Lord, that the truth of Your Word may be received and accepted.
Father, we thank You for all that was wrought for us on the cross of Calvary. May all people receive the gift of Jesus Christ and the salvation that He was sent to bring us. Let every heart make room for Him, and may the glories of His righteousness and the wonders of His love be the one, true source of joy for us all. In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.

We pray for him everyday! As a christian, he has done his part in turning the other cheek -- sometimes in my weekness I wish he could 'respond' to those that wish him harm, physically & verbally. However, he has stood strong.
