Thats what makes Rudy such a tough sell to (parts of) the base.. Still, if he picks a mainstream VP candidate, he may have a shot. I just dont know.. What Rudy did as Mayor of NYC was necessary to clean up the crime so normal citizens could walk out on the streets when they wanted. Many here have exaggerated, to conveniently tilt opinions their way, what powers the President has when it comes to domestic issues. I and many of my pals are lifetime members of the NRA and not one of us have any fears that Rudy would take our guns away from us as long as we followed the rules and regulations that are already set up and have been for a long time.
