Giuliani, Clinton Hold Big Leads in National Tests
BBSNews ^ | March 28, 2007 | Zogby via BBS News

Clinton holds a double–digit 32% to 22% lead over Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

Among Republicans, Giuliani...leads over McCain, 27% to 13%.

On the GOP side of the aisle, actor–turned–senator–turned–actor Fred Thompson wins 9% support, tying Mitt Romney of Massachusetts. Thompson’s support comes from those Republicans who consider themselves “very conservative,” where he wins 19% support and nearly ties Giuliani, who leads the demographic group with 21%. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts finishes third among the very conservative with 16%, while McCain finishes fourth with 7% support.

Among mainline conservatives, Giuliani leads second-place McCain by a 31% to 15%, with Thompson winning 10% support.

In the Republican race, Giuliani holds big leads among both men and women, but women are much more on the fence. Among men, he leads with 33%, followed by McCain with 17%, Thompson with 12%, Romney with 9%, and 19% unsure. Among women, Giuliani wins 22%, while McCain wins 9%, Romney wins 8%, and Thompson and Ron Paul win 6% each. Fully 38% of Republican women are undecided on who they would support for their party’s nomination.

Giuliani is leading even among those who consider themselves "very conservative", mainline conservative, and every demographic group, even with Thompson as one of the choices in the poll.

...so says a Zogby poll, reported in BBC, handpicked for posting here by you, almost a year before the primaries.

zogby showing republicans behind leading up to elections: Zogby sucks.

Zogby showing Rudy leading 10 months before the first primary: Newsworthy!

Any poll at this point is a name recognition poll.

No, any poll at this time is public relations--or propaganda.

OK.

Here is a link to the same information to Newsmax -- this one gave more detailed info.

Zogby: Rudy Giuliani, Hillary Clinton Hold Big Leads

http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2007/3/26/154728.shtml

Are you happy now?

Or go to Zogby and read other articles about the same poll.

As I said, the one I posted had the most detailed internal info.

We were assured all last summer and fall that the polls were bogus, and yet they turned out to be too true...as we now witness day after day new "investigations" and invented scandals from our Democrat-dominated Congress. I tend to pay attention to polls now, and esp. when they all indicate similar data.

"Any poll at this point is a name recognition poll.:

I agree. Nobody knows yet what the positions of the candidates are. (except those of us on FR) Only seven people on FR like Rudy. Most would prefer Thompson.

However, if the big scheme is to put a woman in the White House, then Rudy is the man...

And some of us were desperately trying to warn conservatives of the impending disaster of a Dem Congress, urging them to get out and vote for the Republican candidates in 2006. But unfortunately many didn't, with various excuses, some of them claiming, "it won't be so bad".

Now we see what the Democrats are doing in only two months -- imagine two more years, then imagine a Democrat president and a larger Dem majority in Congress and the most disastrous thing of all: conservatives don't seem to care, in fact some of them relish the idea. Now what kind of conservative can wish for that?!

I'll be happy when I see you posting after-action photos of your efforts to support the Troops, America's sovereignty, the Ten Commandments and Traditional Marriage.

If FreeRepublic merely wanted 24/7 Rudy news releases, I'm sure Jim could configure a RSS feed to do the job.

And from what I've read of Jim's posts, Rudy 24/7 is not at all what FR is about.

If you and others will help us get the word out about America's true heritage, we won't have to settle for Left-Center lukewarms in lieu of true Conservatives.

I post on lots of topics. If you followed my posts over the years, you would know that.

I think the War on Terror is the most important issue in our lifetime.

What good is all the other stuff, if we are all dead, or subjugated by Muslim terrorists?

You are being foolish. It's the folks with guns (that Rudy would take away) that will keep us free. Not the government...

The survey, conducted March 22-26, 2007, included 432 Democratic respondents (margin of error of +/- 4.8 percentage point) and 376 Republicans (margin of error +/- 5.2 percentage points).

So what could the people with guns could have done to prevent 9-11????

Terrorism by its asymmetric warfare nature can't be fought the way you would fight an invading army in uniform. They strike when and where you least expect it.

The thing significant about this poll is that RINO Rudy's support keeps dwindling. It was in the high 30s just a week or so ago.

Your full of crap. First of all, the government did nothing to prevent 9-11, and they can do nothing in the future to prevent another attack. If you think the government is going to protect you and your family you are not only full of crap, you are stupid.

The people can however. If there is another major attack, see how many Muslims are breathing a month later. That's where the power is...

Why should we abandon all the other "stuff" when we can elect someone that is conservative on those issues who will be just as effective at fighting the war on terror?

And, it's a little hard to fight the war on terror when your man, Rudy favors open borders and had a history of protecting illegals. Ya never know when some of those illegals will end up being terroists.

Shoot the Muslim terrorists that enter the country illegal because your man created a safe haven for them?

If you really cared about keeping the country safe, you could at least have the intellectual honest to admit that we 1) have to secure the borders and that 2) your man Rudy has been illegal's best friend during his years of public service and that is coddling of illegals put the country at risk.

You never stop it. I voted even after the national GOP abandoned its congressional candidate in my district. Many of us did.

Every day it's a new poll from you promoting this liberal goofball you are so fond of. It gets really old.

And next time I won't vote. Not if we nominate Giuliani. If I'm going to have you and your liberal friends blaming me for the loss anyway, I might as well make it legitimate.
