I know, I know...but it's the only coverage I could find on cable.
And remember I qualified it..covering it "in their way" :)
I figure if TWC is covering actual weather- it must be serious.
A spotted tornado is a tornado an actual human being has seen.
Most tornado warnings are for "radar indicated" tornadoes, most of which are not actual tornadoes.
WOW! A half mile wide. That's a monster.
Prayers for friends and family of mine in Western Kansas, the cell by Ness City looks like a monster, also the band north east of Dodge City by Kinsley looks bad too, alot of straight line winds with that one I bet.
It's a type of tornado which won't hook up with other tornado's, unless good protection is used.
I'm really sorry about that...if I hear anything else I'll pass it along about that area. That tornado is apparently still going north past Benkelman.
That tornado must have passed right over I-80, too.
And everybody back home in Kansas said I was crazy to move to California with all the earthquakes and such.........
LOL, yeah, WTF?
Maybe algore could shed some light on this.
...."What?"....
Hard to believe, but that's what we're hearing. My daughter in NE Wyoming is getting the blizzard right now, and we are under a tornado watch...........just 60 miles east of her.
Some really crazy weather.
Gore's fault.
Depending on where you are in California, you're still likely in more danger there than in Kansas.
The tornado fatality in Oklahoma today was the first one in Oklahoma in six years, for example.
It's an interesting exercise in risk perception - you get some really spectacular tornado damage and some deaths every year from tornadoes, but the earthquakes in California are widely spaced and there's been a flukey absence of large ones in populated areas there in the last 50 years while the CA population exploded. You'll likely have a quake in CA with 3,000+ deaths within the next 40 years...
Call them baby Katrinas so you can get disaster funds like NOLA idiots.
My kids loved that movie when they were a little younger. Bet we've seen it at least 30 times.
:)
Got it up on radar yet ?...(NWS)
