I always enjoy your posts, espcially on the earthquake threads. You seem to be a voice of reason and sanity. (even if you do pour cold water on the hysterics)

Thank you.

Looking at Accuweather premium...huge cell NE of Amarillo with impressive swirl nearly covering an entire County.

Heads up!

Prayers for all. I understand there is extensive damage in Bird City, Kansas and Benkelmen, Nebraska also. I am also worried about Ness County Kansas.

I looked at the www.intellicast.com web site and there are some storms with 55,000 ft cloud tops ! You have to go through "Storm Center" and then "Severe" options. Some radar maps don't display cloud tops.

Kind of early to start the storm season. On my way home, the weather man mentioned about tornado warning in Prowess & Kiowa counties.

Or it can be weather in California - I've seen "HEAVY DRIZZLE WATCHES" and whatnot for California in Breaking, and left there.

Likely Southern California. California is not all palm trees and Disneyland, like most on this board seem to think. This is a huge state. Here in Nor Cal, got down to 27 below zero this winter and lately horrific wind storms that took off roofs and took down trees, with snow, blizzards and white out conditions just in the last week.

I noted up to one inch in Bailey County, Texas at around 9:00 pm CST. Seems to have subsided now.

The damage at Clovis, NM from the last tornadoes is massive around Brady and Prince Streets. I was over there day on Monday.

WE went through about 30 hours of strong winds here...there's a real big pressure gradient with this weather...rain and snow yesterday and gale force winds...winds really didn't start calming down good until late this afternoon...
