Absolutely natural. And you know they are positive they weren't in the wrong when captured.
Imanutjob was looking for a way to get us out of Iraq. Hmmm, why is that?
"The arrest footage was preceded by a senior Iranian officer using maps to explain how the Britons had "crossed into Iranian territory". "
Gee not too planned - having a video cam with them.
I feel terrible for Seaman Turney having to be used like this
Execute the hostages one a day. On public television
Blair: Britain Won't Negotiate With Iran
AP - Prime Minister Tony Blair said Thursday that Britain would not negotiate over British sailors and marines held hostage by Iran. In an interview with ITV News, Blair again called for the unconditional return of the 15 Royal Navy personnel who were seized by Iranian authorities last week.
"The important thing for us is to get them back safe and sound, but we can't enter into some basis of bargaining," Blair said. "What you have to do when you are engaged with people like the Iranian regime, you have to keep explaining to them, very patiently, what it is necessary to do and at the same time make them fully aware there are further measures that will be taken if they're not prepared to be reasonable.
"What you can't do is end up negotiating over hostages; end up saying there's some quid pro quo or tit for tat; that's not acceptable," he said. [snip]

Did I understand, UK, that France called on the Iranian ambassodor? It figures they'd call someone else for help.../sarc
But were not at war with Iran, or so they say.
Ping other FRiends across the pond.
Aren't Brit forces told not to aid the enemy after capture? Doesn't the issuance of these statements indicate the captives are being subjected to illegal threats, intimidation, and possibly torture under the Geneva Conventions?
Good question: just where are all of our loudmouthed Liberal agitators who seem to materialize at any time to protest their own country's attempt to capture and interrogate terrorists? Have you heard from any of these morons lately? Me neither. Oh, and what ever happened to the friggin' Geneva Convention, or does that only apply to Gitmo now?
I guess misusing "navel" really pushes your belly buttons.
Absolutely it does.
The Iranians have not only committed an act of war, they have also committed war crimes.
It seems plain as day. But I think if it can be agreed that this was not penned by the young lady, but by Iranian military/government officials, then it's an overt government-sanctioned act designed to effect the outcome of the War in Iraq to the detriment of Allied forces. Whereas the insurgency could be (falsely) attributed to forces outside of the control of the central government of Iran, this cannot be explained away. The government is holding them, and the government is demanding that the British accept defeat in Iraq.
Here's the smoking in action shot...
So which branch and which war were you in?
There it's fixed
>>Should we say sorry to get our sailors back? Yes or No<<
Who is the author of that poll? Madeline Albright?
Their first clue was the line that read, "We very much being treated well, Allah be praised."
That's a great observation. IF there was a way to boil down the language to a sound bite, it would stick.
"Persuant to Iran's tactical statements on the Iraq Campaign, connected with the act of war in capturing our sailors, they have become an enemy state in the War on Terror. Iran will regret it's actions."
