I agree. And that's why they picked her as the token conservative. So they could shoot her down easily.
OTOH, they could possibly get even bigger ratings with possible "fights" between Doughnut and Ann Coulter.
Goes to show you, it's NOT the money, it's the IDEOLOGY. We are dealing with true believers, and they're worse than anyone that can be bought.

This selective moral outrage against all things American (and apparently to Rosie it matters not that Dem'crats may be in power, rather than Republicans), is an endorsement of defeat for America.
So who would be the successor to America? While the rather loosely defined world-wide Islamic caliphate is definitely a large minority in the world, nobody is likely to emerge from that horde to be recognized as a world leader. Economically, militarily or strategically, they simply do not have very much leverage. If they try to exert their only potent weapon, control of petroleum production, they risk either invasion by a military presence with a LOT less restraint than has been shown by the coalition forces, or finding the world turning to other sources of energy in a really significant, perhaps enough so that petroleum ceases to be a major source of fossil energy.
Economically, the most probable power to emerge would almost certainly be a hegemony based on China and Southeast Asia. Chinese empires in the past have been notoriously neglectiful of civil liberties of their subjects, and this includes the civil liberties that Rosie takes for granted.
Perhaps, to satisfy Rosie, America should simply step aside and invite China to fulfill our function in the world, which is pretty much that of traffic cop. After all, China has some pretty favorable demographics to build and maintain a large foreign legion, as there is clearly a vast preponderance of young males to young females, and these boys are going to be itching for a little. What easier way to find new females than to make a few forays into the field, kill the Islamofascist warriors, then take their widows, daughters, mothers and sisters as spoils of war?
Be careful of how you would like to see the world changed, Rosie. Because it just may contain a few unintended consequences.

I've been involved for years in various organized discussions on health issues, and I've found the same thing. Those who've experienced the foreign systems aren't quite as enthusiastic about them as those Americans who use attacks on our current health system as a proxy for attacks on our form of government. The funny thing is that the latter group is always able to conceive of a perfect system where everybody gets all the care they want and it never costs anything. Utopians never seem to bothered by the fact that there's no known example of an actual working utopia.
Too bad there are no thinkers amongst the leftist ideologues. Maybe they'd make more sense then.

We need to say this to ALL the morons in America. Unfortunately, they're not just stars and politicos - after all, it is "the people" that put those politicos there! Too many "Americans" are just like Rosie.

From what I hear about this show, I simply cannot believe anyone watches it. Must be the same people who listened to Air America.
Well, the Brit in question is plenty impressed with his system. He still says he doesn't pay for anything (I keep pointing out TAXES). But it's the Americans who are insulting and defensive (for the Brit) about it.
But as I stated prior there, I have genuinely noticed on those forums many Brits and Canadians saying they can't see a doc until 2 months, or can't get this test until XX months; meanwhile, I've had all my tests in the last year scheduled within 1 month or so. There was no commentary on their waits, I just observed that this is true. Then some American glibly says she'd probably rather "pay 0" and wait for months! Yeah, by then you'll be DEAD!
That hog has just taken over that show. I never used to watch and I certainly never will now. She's a nut, totally believes her own crap which is what makes her so dangerous. She is a despicable American.
Shame on ABC for allowing this blowhard to take over daytime and even evening talk with her tirades.

I think it's a "woman" thing, which obviously works for attraction. Oh, it's all women, talking about women things; we women like that!
(Obviously there are far too many petty shallow women in the US who are all about this silly frou-frou nonsense. And they make fun of "'50s women" - they're just like the lightweight housewife stereotype!)

I am floored just by her sheer ignorance and the depth of her out right stupidity...It must be very difficult going through life like that but then again, someone that ignorant and stupid has no idea I suppose.
The problem is that there are way too many people who'll repeat what she said as if fact.
People have a tendency to make anyone credible who appears on that TV screen.
Yeah, but what about the co-hosts who didn't think to ask her how those steel girders are made and what she thinks they do at a steel mill? (in between laughing, that is)
