Democrats Outraged Scooter Libby did whatever it is that He Did
Underneath Politics ^ | March 28, 2007 | Underneath Politics

Washington - Democrats across the country were outraged after Vice President Dick Cheney's former Chief of Staff, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, was convicted for committing whatever crime Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald had charged him of committing, Underneath Politics has learned. "It makes me sick," said long time Democratic voter Betty Granath. "To think he did what it is that he did is beyond comprehension. How could he betray the trust of the American people like that? I haven't been this outraged since that Florida lady (Katherine Harris) did whatever it is that she did to help George W. Bush illegally win the 2000 election."

Libby's crime:

Not saying "I do not recall, maybe Armitage knows." every time they asked a question.

And nobody asked these two to explain exactly what Libby did? That would have been funny.

His responses to the Grand Jury should have been

I don't remember...
I can't recall.... and
I have no recollection...

Priceless..I enjoy a good laugh in the morning..I especially liked the part about "impeaching" Libby..the du's are so misinformed about the process of impeachment, that sure would not surprise me if some thought you can impeach ANYONE...

The poor democRATS are upset at what Scooter Libby did....twist the truth a little....I wonder if they remember these statements:

"I DID NOT have relations with that woman!"

"I don't remember that." " It seems I might have thought about it, but I don't think I would, I think I would remember something like that" "I can't say I do know about that".....

Amazing how things work.....

I think the only response that would have saved Libby would have been to exercise his Fifth Amendment rights. Basically, the jury convicted him because they claimed he should have been able to remember what he said he didn't remember.

To think the 'democRATs' did what it is that the 'democRATs' did is beyond comprehension. How could the 'democRATs' betray the trust of the American people like that?'

There, I like my version better:-()

Of course not...dems are allowed to be criminals. They reelect them even knowing they are crooks. Look at that mayor from Chicago, for instance.

The dems are mostly like old-time dem Louisiana politics. Voters were happy to keep electing crooks because they figured they would share in the graft, even on a lesser scale.

Scooter Libby "misattributed" what Administration officials told him to Tim Russert. For this he faces 30 years.

FYI, "misattribution" is a common, normal memory defect and is not perjury, lying and so forth.

The Judge in this case denied him an expert witness to testify on "misattribution" (DR. Bjork UCLA); this action by the judge denied Libby a chance to clear his name and resulted in the conviction.

Their response is generally "who is that?" followed with a "big deal"

As I recall, there is some famous quote that essentially says the end of a democracy is when the electorate comes to the conclusion that they can elect candidates that give them money from the public trough...well, that's happened.

Scooter Libby "misattributed" what Administration officials told him to Tim Russert.

It may not have been a misattribution. It's Timmy's word against Libby's, and Timmy (and NBC) knowingly (and with Fitzfong's knowledge) submitted a false affidavit and perjured himself in his testimony. Let's see, who to believe...
