Pelosi weighs in on the British hostage crises
me | 4/1/07 | GeorgiaDawg32

Posted on 04/01/2007 7:13:11 AM PDT by GeorgiaDawg32

In a conference call with Syrian President Assad held earlier today, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi promised her full support in trying to end the war of words between Britain and Iran. "We completely support the British troops in this matter, as we support our troops currently on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan. But at the same time, we realize the British are using harsh language that is only serving to inflame Muslim and Persian passions regarding this unfortunate incident of unauthorized tresspassing, and insist the British tone down their rhetoric. It is entirely up to the United Nations to issue words such as "unacceptable", "inexcuseable" and "an intentional violation of international law. National pride has no business in this affair".

Sources close to the conversation say they attempted to include Iranian President Achmadinijad on the call, but his aides said he was busy starting an office pool trying to determine whether the letter coming from the United Nations would be of "concern", "grave concern", "deep concern" or "deplorable". The winner gets a free ride on the inflatable pride of the Iranian Navy, the INS (Iranian Naval Service) Maypop and a "Get Out of Torture Free" card should they ever be critical of the current government..

developing..

It is difficult to distinguish satire from reality when it comes to Pelosi.

Carefully note: NO CONDEMNATION OF THE IRANIAN ACTION.

Democrats are traitors.

Pure and simple.

National pride has no business in this affair.

You tell 'em Nancy!

If the situation were not so serious that would be funny.

unfortunate incident of unauthorized tresspassing

Did I miss it? Are the Brits now admitting that they were in Iranian waters? Or is Pelosi just assuming that Islamic Swine wouldn't lie?

Why is it that every time a Democrat (and a few bad Republicans) utter the words 'we support the troops', it is always following by the word but? Ever notice that?

Except on April 1st, and in this case, by
noting the lack of a source attribution, or
simply reading paragraph 2.

She is just digging the hole deeper for the Dims in 08. This situation stirs the emotions felt by those who lived through the Carter years. We remember and still hold those who trembled in front of the world in contempt. What a POS subhuman.

It is entirely up to the UN? Does this idiot not believe that the British have the right to speak their mind, protect their own people? This should show us that Pelosi is ready and willing to throw our own country to the will of the UN rather than stand on our own two feet and protect this country.

This is true and has been for quite some time now. Who needs satire (or farce?) when the things that the Bolsheviks say trumps satire (or farce?).

"unfortunate incident of unauthorized tresspassing"

The first GPS coordinates Iran gave Britain for the site of the abduction of the 15 sailors and marines was in Iraqi waters. It was later 'corrected' to show the Brits were in Iranian waters. Pelosi will buy into any version that aids her terrorist constituents and pits her against America's allies and interests. Her abandonment of America is now complete and absolutely devoid of any pretext to the contrary.

The United Nations? Ms. Pelosi, you are below the salt when it comes to Great Briton; they have guts and you are gutless except for your over-blown self esteem.....quit looking in the mirror as this is not just about you or your appeasement of terrorism.
