Rosie Calls O'Reilly an "Imbecile," Murdoch "Big Brother"
TMZ In The Zone ^ | Apr 2nd 2007 | TMZ Staff

Posted on 04/02/2007 8:57:47 AM PDT by magellan

Rosie O'Donnell spat back at conservative talk-show pugilist Bill O'Reilly after he called for her firing from ABC last week, comparing him to a character in George Orwell's "1984" who is "a fattish ... man of paralyzing stupidity, a mass of imbecile enthusiasms."

She didn't reserve her fire for O'Reilly, however. On her blog at Rosie.com, Ro accused O'Reilly of being a totalitarian puppet of News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch, as she put it, in her lower-case verse, "like 1984/molding the facts/2 suit the needs/of big brother rupert." And Rosie also revealed that when she and co-host Joy Behar made reference on "The View" to a sex scandal involving O'Reilly, they were told they had to can it about O'Reilly or else "bill o would 'go after' all the hosts" of their show.

Well, Bill O. did go after Ro at least, as TMZ noted last week, calling Rosie "nutty" and "irresponsible" and suggesting that ABC should oust her from the show. Rosie went all literary-nasty on O'Reilly, comparing him to Parsons, a fellow employee of protagonist Winston Smith, whom Orwell says is "one of those completely unquestioning, devoted drudges on whom, more even than on the thought police, the stability of the Party depended."

More from the psycho Rosie. This article was actually based on one of Rosie's blog posts:

http://www.rosie.com/blog/2007/04/01/parsons/

Reading her blog posts reveals a woman who can only be described as seriously mentally ill. Depression is one thing. Paranoia and delusions are another.

Liberal wack jobs always make these analagies to Orwell's 1984. They should really read Huxley's Brave New World. We're a lot closer to that than 1984.

This is sort of like talking about Tyrell Owens in football. When you notice, and talk about the person, it achieves their goal, to simply be noticed. The best answer is to ignore the disgusting pig that is Rosie.

BTW, I realize I'm guilty for just posting this. :)

Actually, Rosie is only semi-intelligent.

Her IQ most likely equals her generous hip measurements but pales in comparison to normal Americans, even might qualify her for idiot status in the "entertainment profession" and that's giving her lots of qualifiers.

Change "man" to "woman" and she's describing herself.

I was under the impression that both 1984 and BNW outlined the post-socialist world revolution? Wouldn't that mean that people like Bill O are actually wanting LESS gov't? I hate these morons who equate Bush to Hitler. Hitler was a fascist and fascists are hell bent on state control of everyone and everything. Rosie O is off her Rosie A**.

Three things I refuse to ask Rosie her advice on.
1) How to pick up women.
2) Which diet is better, Atkins or South Beach.
3) The best way to win the war on terror.

I have to laugh when any leftist, either a moron like Rosie or some pinhead 'intellectual' college professor with more degrees than brains cites '1984' when describing someone who does not share their views.

What an imbecilic hypocrite: 'Political Correctness' is the Newspeak of our generation, and that is a creation of the Left. Live it, learn it, love it.

Anytime these libs speak about conservatives or Republicans, I evaluate if they are projecting. Most times they are.

"Oh good Lord! Rosie has read a book and picked up a few catch phrases."

I doubt if Rosie has actually read ANY book. She must have picked it up from Keith Olbermann's show, who picked it up from some anonymous blue blogger, who probably has the Cliffs Notes from 11th grade...

Rosie's significant other must be having a LOT of headaches lately.

Maybe she should take some time off and recharge her batteries.

The year 1984 itself proved George Orwell was wrong, yet nearly 25 years later people still use it as some sort of prophecy.  Every time I see a reference to 1984 I simply think of Chauncey Gardener in Being There.
