Soledad O'Brien is out and former FOX cutie Kiran Chetry is in. TMZ has confirmed through sources that Miles and Soledad O'Brien have been officially booted as anchors of CNN's "American Morning."
John Roberts will be joining Chetry as their replacements. CNN recently snatched up Chetry from FOX News Channel. Sources say the switch will take effect in two to three weeks. Both O'Briens will remain under CNN employ.

I cant believe Soledad O Dumbell has made it this long...she is awful.
Fox let her go a couple months ago following a contract dispute. I miss Kiran since I rarely watch cnn.

I noticed Chetry a few weeks ago and wondered what CNN was doing with her.
She’s a big improvement over O’Brien, but, it’s still CNN.
Jumping from FNC to CNN is a bad career move, Kiran....just ask what’s-her-name......

Well, it looks like Kiran didn’t waste any time in putting the screws to the veteran morning anchors at CNN. I guess she quickly accomplished at CNN what she never could at Fox. The pairing with John Roberts is interesting-couldn’t they have chosen someone a bit younger to anchor with Chetry? Oh well, it should be fun to watch the two of them tripping all over themselves, trying to outdo one another at reciting the latest anti-Bush, anti-war, anti-Christian talking points.
The show will still be a loser, no matter who hosts. It’s CNN.
Actually I never liked Kiran. Didn’t know when to shut up and I heard she went on CNN and told viewers that CNN was sterling or supreme as a news channel which got her husband Chris Knowles fired too.
I had my doubts when she raved on about how she really like “Brokeback Mountain”, I thought at that time, ugh!!!

Unfortunately, I’ll never again get to see Kiran. I’ll certainly miss her sweet personality but alas, she’s on a show that I don’t choose to watch, even to see her.
Guess the very poor ratings at CNN didn’t bother her or the fact that CNN seems to go through anchors like fire in dry brush....
She drove me crazy, but now I don’t have to worry about it, as I wouldn’t watch CNN for anything.

Didn’t she do a bit on a computer information program back in the day? Can’t remember the show, but, if memory serves me right, she didn’t know enough about computers to give her “creds” there either.
I recall her from WAYYYYSsssss back on TechTV (not even sure if that channel is still around). She was awful back then too..

CNN is in total chaos and disarray right now. Almost every single time slot has either changed shows or changed anchors in the last two years. Someone needs to teach Jon Klein how to run a network.
I agree with you that no matter the hosts, CNN’s morning show will always be a bomb . . . they are getting killed in the ratings by Imus if that tells you anything.
Chetry accomplished her goal out of default not talent. She was the only one left and the CNN brass probably hope some of the FNC magic will rub off on them. Not a chance.
