98% of Illegals Arrested Were Not Prosecuted

EL PASO, Texas -- For all the tough talk in Washington on immigration, illegal aliens caught along the Mexican border have almost no reason to fear they will be prosecuted.

Ninety-eight percent of those arrested between Oct. 1, 2000, and Sept. 30, 2005, were never prosecuted for illegally entering the country, according to an Associated Press analysis of federal data. Those 5.2 million aliens were simply escorted back across the Rio Grande and turned loose. Many presumably tried to slip into the United States again.

Few realized that George W. Bush intended to sell America out to the globalists from the very beginning by joining with the Democrats in their open borders agenda, which was exactly what he wanted. He doesn't care what Americans want - he has sold us out.

Wait until the next phase of his plans is implemented and the people find out that he has also sold out our Constitution!

Escorted back my aunt fanny. They were released with their solemn oath to return to court.... and never did.

Exactly. Vigorously prosecute the business that hire them. Make it extremely costly for businesses, and these folks won't get hired. With job opportunities dried up, they'll deport themselves.

Apply the minimum wage to these workers. Employers must deduct all applicable taxes from their wages. Enforce current immigration laws that are on the books. Fund, build and complete the fence.

I’m curious as to the rate of prosecutions to arrests for citizens. Seems like it might be a good plan to claim to be here illegally if arrested. Chances of not being prosecuted are probably much better if you can convince the legal system that you are here illegally.

AILA is a powerful lobby group! Their hands are in every immigration law that is written, not to mention the pockets of congress.
