Bill ties climate to national security
Boston Globe ^ | April 9, 2007 | Boston Globe

Posted on 04/09/2007 5:08:20 PM PDT by plain talk

The CIA and Pentagon would for the first time be required to assess the national security implications of climate change under proposed legislation intended to elevate global warming to a national defense issue. The bipartisan proposal, which its sponsors expect to pass the Congress with wide support, calls for the director of national intelligence to conduct the first-ever "national intelligence estimate" on global warming. The effort would include pinpointing the regions at highest risk of humanitarian suffering and assessing the likelihood of wars erupting over diminishing water and other resources.

We really ought to write a bill that ties treasonous politicians to national security. That was we could rid this country of vermin that are working hard AGAINST our security. Much better than liberal climate shams.

"...17,000 scientists declare that global warming is a lie..."

Science is not done by consensus. All but one scientist can be wrong. There could be a million scientists and yet one scientist can be right. Unfortunately in the political realm consensus has clout. Because of that serious scientists conducted a petition drive based on a peer reviewed paper on global warming. There's a video lecture based on the peer reviewed paper. Toward the end of the video it's explained that the document and petition be put into the record at congressional hearings on global warming.

This is the URL for the petition drive with a link to the peer reviewed paper therein. "See over 17,000 scientists declare that global warming is a lie with no scientific basis whatsoever."

Here's the URL to the page that has the video link.

Another great documentary is: The Great Global Warming Swindle

I don’t know about “requiring” the CIA to look into global climate change and security issues, but I do know that they already have done it.

There was a book back in the 1970’s based on declassified CIA documents that did just that. In fact, at that time, the analysis assumed a global cooling pattern. In turn, they project various destabilization scenarios resulting from climate change.

The interesting thing in that book to me was their conclusion that climate change is normal and that we were exiting what they termed a bubble of exceptional weather dating back to the climate disturbances of the 1930’s. So, the point was that weather that we took for granted was, in fact, abnormal.

Unfortunately, we are all going to be sucked into this hysteria. I just saw an ad for a program on Discovery next week:

You know, they _will_ question _our_ *patriotism* when they have redefined it as being green.

Well, here it is: global warming, when and if it comes, will bear particularly hard on the unfriendly lands: a part of them will get desolated, and the rest will become uninhabitable. Thus, the implications for United States’ national security are uncommonly good.

scientists can be wrong.

Corrected it. They can ALL be wrong: "science" (other than its original sense of "knowledge", as opposed to the current "how things REALLY work) doesn't require ANYBODY to be correct.

“Can we beat Global Warming with a good pre-emptive strike?”

It may already have been done. It’s freezing here in NC. The average temperatures for April where I live is a high of 70 and a low of 41. Today’s temperatures have been a high of 52 and a low of 29. Where the heck is the global warming? Bring it on! No global warming, no golf.
Also, have you noticed that for the past three weeks while the entire country is freezing its collective butt off there has been nothing, zip, zero, nada, about global warming in the national or local press? What happened?

I can`t can`t can`t believe how out of control this "Gorebull warming" BS is getting. This is completely unreal that a bunch of wackos can be taken seriously like this.

Like I posted here on Freep many many times, what is so hard to understand here about this hoax? Why is this going straight over the heads of Congress? The earths atmosphere contains an absolute absolute miniscule amount of CO2, not even 10%, not 5%, not 1%, not .5%, not even .05% but .0383% to be exact! .0383 freggin` percent!!!!

Of that tiny amount you can`t even count how much is made from fossil fuels without getting into micro measurements, parts per MILLION.

By comparison the planet Venus (that these Gorebull warming wackos like to compare to) contains an atmosphere made up of almost ALL CO2, 96% CO2 to be exact!!!

Over 100 years humans have been burning fossil fuels and STILL we can`t even get that CO2 amount up to .05%!!! DO these idiots in Congress have any idea the amounts of coal, gas, and whatnot that would have to be burned to raise it to even .5%?? There`s not enough fuel, cars, industrial plants on this planet to ever get to that amount, it`s IMPOSSIBLE!

Why? Simply put there is just too many plants that use CO2. Trees, algae, bushes, grass, etc etc. It`s why the earths atmosphere contains 21% Oxegen instead of .0383%.

Maybe Al Gore can tell me if this pic of South America from space is mostly green because of cars.
