Snowy forests 'increase (global) warming'

Original Title -- > Snowy forests 'increase warming'

Planting trees in snowy areas may worsen global warming as their canopies absorb sunlight which would otherwise be reflected by the snow, a study says.

The report in US journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences says the pine forests of Europe, Siberia and Canada may contribute to warming.

Only tropical forests effectively cool the earth by absorbing carbon dioxide and creating clouds, the report says.

I’ve been wondering the same thing about those solar panels. If CO2 is going to trap all the heat in, what about those black panels that absorb all the radiation, including the ones that CO2 would have normally allowed to escape?

As per usual, the over-the-top idiocy prevents any rational assessment of the issue. So animals cause global warming, plants cause global warming, lack of plants or animals causes warming. You know what, the existance of warmth causes global warming. If only we could get those atoms to stop moving so fast!

I agree with you wholeheartedly.

The lefties are like mad dogs now: frothing at the mouth and so thoroughly loony that they don't even notice their inconsistencies and blatant contradictions. This isn't science anymore; it's complete bovine excrement.

The left realizes that folks are not as gullible as they expected; consequently, the yelling and commotion from the left is becoming increasingly shrill.

Mad dogs allowed to run loose are dangerous. The only way to deal with them is to put them out of their misery.

I was watching a program “Planeta Feroz” on the Spanish-language Discovery Channel that basically said because of global warming we’d be getting colder weather and worse blizzards. I kid you not.

“...we’d be getting colder weather and worse blizzards.”

Well sure. If the poles are going to melt, all that snow has to go SOMEWHERE!

Let’s see ... hmmmm ... I buy carbon credits from Al Gore so I can continue to drive my SUV conscience-free ... Al Gore plants trees with my carbon credits ... the trees reflect sunlight, contributing to global warming ... I begin to laugh.

Al Gore must be the most influential person on the planet right now. I can’t believe that his one stupid movie has gained this much interest in the World. Even the Republicans have gotten on the Global Warming train. How could this have happened?

Oh dear I wonder when the environmentalist are going to start demanding a special tax on people who own pine trees.

I have 7 acres of pine trees.
