China won’t do that since they got their court decision against Lunar Embassies. China might have the ability to do this or that, but they won’t actually do these things any more than we will. They have their Military-Industrial Complex also; it probably trades E-mails with ours every day.

China may not have signed the Moon Treaty. The 1967 UN Outer Space Treaty they did, as did the USA.

War for what? They would kill the golden goose by taking out our satellite infrastruture. US retail dollars keep the China machine humming along. They are addicted to US dollars.

Money doesn’t buy territory or regional power. China isn’t on an unprecedented massive military/naval/aerial build-up just to protect it’s coast.

You’re rationalizing them like they’re a capitalist nation. They’re communists who have found an economic model that provides more military funding than the traditional Stalinist or Mao models.
