NEW YORK - A CBS News producer was fired and the network apologized after a Katie Couric video essay on libraries was found to be plagiarized from The Wall Street Journal.
The essay was removed from the CBS Web site and an editors note was posted saying the item should have credited Jeffrey Zaslow of the Journal, the network said Tuesday.

Not a good day for the media.
Why is Katie Couric allowed to skate? She should be fired for calling those girls nappy...Oh, never mind. Katie Couric should be fired anyway!!
Fake but accurate.
Oh, no! Say it isn’t so! Cute & perky Katie is a plagiarist!
Katie Couric isn’t writing her own essays? Heck CBS isn’t even writing their own HA HA HA. CBS just keeps the tradition alive!

How the hell could they not know they’d get caught? I know they’re evil, but I didn’t think they were that stupid.
Dan Rather training them?
“Why am I being fired? I was just doing what I learned to do in high school and college.”
Check this out..
Remember this is the network of the fake National Guard memos. Makes one wonder how many other instances of this stuff have not yet been caught.
These are the same people who are always dissing the Journal, right?
Maybe Katie is trying to steal Dan Rather’s thunder for being the biggest fool.
Oh, come on now!!! CBS won't fire their "news" people for making up stories, lying, being obsessively liberal, and showing their hatred of conservatives in each story but they will fire for illegal copying? This must be a "token" firing.
“We were horrified, CBS News spokeswoman Sandra Genelius said. It was almost verbatim.
CBS would not identify the producer fired for the transgression.”
Why not? None of my business?
Caught is a word long ignored by the press, unless applied to one of their victims.
