Fallout from girls' racially charged clash reaches far beyond school halls

RIFLE - The 14-year-old freshman was walking to her midmorning geography class at Rifle High School in February when she said an older - and considerably bigger - Hispanic girl called her "cracker." Then, the Hispanic girl pushed her to the hallway floor, slammed her head into a locker, and pummeled, scratched and kicked her while other students stood by and watched, the 14-year-old said. Some even took pictures and recorded the clash with their camera phones.

I was in Rifle last year for an elk hunt and everyone in our camp was commenting on how many Hispanics were in town now.

Thing about seeing a town only once every year, you get a good impression on the changes that the locals seem to take as normal because to them it such a slow change.

It's not just Rifle, Colorado. They are everywhere. You can't swing a dead cat here in SE Tennessee without hitting an illegal. I stopped for an overnighter in Russelville, AR, a couple of weeks ago when I was ferrying an airplane from Colorado to Tennessee. Hispanics were everywhere. I ferried another airplane from Chattanooga to Moriarty, New Mexico a month earlier, stopping in Paul's Valley, OK for an overnighter. Hispanics were everywhere, there, too. In fact, in the past year or so I've traveled to or through 23 states and Hispanics were everywhere I went in large numbers. Personally, I think the 12 million number that is constantly thrown around is way on the low side.

We are being invaded and our gubmint just sits there doing nothing.

Unfortunately, this has been around for more than twenty years.

In 1983, my little brother was attacked as we went to get on the bus. He was 15 and the guy who attacked him was 18, and much bigger and stronger. My brother was in the hospital for a week.

The attacker was arrested and had a restraining order but kept harassing him until my mom got him in a Christian school instead of public. Other than the initial arrest, nothing happened to the perp until later in life when he got a 30-day jail sentence for assault with a deadly weapon.

I remember my brother considered taking his .22 to shoot him and I only talked him out of it by explaining that a .22 would only make him angry.

Well that's about black vs. brown gang-banging in LA. Hardly a 'race war'. That stuff has been going on since the 1950s in LA. When it's not black vs. brown gang war it is black vs. black (remember the Crip vs. Blood outbreak of the early 1990s) or brown vs. brown.

The immigration disaster has added the the numbers of gang bangers who are not native, though. This must be tough to see if you are a Crip. No longer the biggest, baddest gang in LA.

Don't forget the Duke Study:

When Whites were asked the same questions, fewer than 10 percent responded with similar negative attitudes towards Blacks. McClain says that finding came as a positive surprise, and prompted her to conclude that Hispanics were not adopting their negative views from Whites.

There are a lot of illegal alien Bills being worked on right now.

One that is encouraging will require American citizenship and proper ID to apply for welfare, food stamps, and other government services, freebies etc

Call or Email your local State Senator and State Rep and tell him or her what you expect them to do about the new Bills....

I have fond memories of taking the Western Pacific California Zephyr from Oakland to Chicago, stopping at Rifle to take on trout caught that morning (as the dining car stewards told me) and then, after going through the Moffat Tunnel, enjoying those trout (with a nice Riesling kabinett) in the dining car with the sun setting behind us as we descended into Denver.

It sounds bad that no help was forthcoming while cameras were being used; but with benefit to the onlookers; pictures are important. . .they are at least documenting the assault. . .and this was perhaps the only way they felt they could help. To intervene; sadly, requires more physical engagement than these kids are willilng to offer or are able. . .apparently Teachers do not intervene either; but are required to wait for 'Security'. . .or risk a law suit as well.
