Impeach Nancy Pelosi?
New Media Journal ^ | April 14, 2007 | Doug Edelman

Nancy Pelosi’s recent trip to Syria represents more than a partisan jab at the Bush Administration and its policies. It goes to the very heart of the constitutional foundation of our republic!

While Harry Reid is waving the Constitution in our faces – citing the independent power of the legislative branch of government – he conveniently diminishes the constitutional authority of the Presidency with his statement that the Democrats represent the people, while the President DOES NOT!

The Democrats, and particularly Pelosi and Reid, have apparently forgotten Constitution 101. The power to set Foreign Policy resides ONLY in the Presidency. As long as George Bush holds the office, HIS policy IS the Foreign Policy of the United States.

For that matter, the power to determine the Military’s mission and it’s strategies reside with the Commander in Chief – which role is also held solely by Mr. Bush.

Ms. Pelosi has been attempting to set herself up as the de-facto leader of a shadow government – operating to circumvent the constitutional authority and the relevancy of the President and of the office of the Presidency. This is an insurrection. An insurgency within our government!

There exists a federal law known as the Logan Act:

Well, after all the Dems have already made it abundantly clear, via outrageous (and evidence free) smear attacks on, and Kangaroo courts indictments of, Bush administration officials, appointees and even ordinary career government employees that the WITCH HUNT is on. And (save for Hillary) I can’t think of a bigger witch than Pelosi.

Actually the PEOPLE are supposed to discipline THEIR representatives and have that option every TWO years.

If you're waiting for the Castro Street Caucus to boot Bela Pelosi out on her ass, you might as well pull up a chair, grab a soda, and open a thick book because it's going to be awhile.

Not only impeach her, arrest her for treason.

Where can one find a Republican Congresscritter who has the guts to pursue this?

Screw that; let's just put more conservatives in office and let the adults take charge again.

And this time govern like CONSERVATIVES.

The answer isn't trying to rid the world of Pelosis by taking them out one by one; there will always be Pelosis. We need to make the legislature a conservative one--so the Pelosis and their idiocy become a curiousity and not what they are now: a present and real danger to America.

Hey, I know Pete Stark, George Miller, Mike Honda, etal... are lifelong communists and win with 60%+ votes.

But the rest of the country has a few more options and that is where the influence is derived. And don’t forget, the “blue-dogs” are a potent source if they decide to bolt.

Until House Republicans stick together in castigating Pelosi and other Democrats for their anti-American, anti-troop, anti-Bush hateful behavior I will not contribute another penny to the Republican party.

Like those who favor impeaching Bush, they would get Cheney,, unless they did a 2-fer which is highly unlikely.

Taking Nancy to the cleaners gets ya Steny Hoyer.. and if he gets tossed as well, then you have the likes of Miller and Obey and Murtha that could emerge on top.

She’s worth too much to the Rs with her where she is at.

I liked Cheney's take on this the most.

By the wisdom of the framers, that power rests in the hands of one commander-in-chief, not 535 commanders-in-chief on Capitol Hill," the vice president said. "I might add that we don't need 535 secretaries of state, either.

Cheney: succinct and to the point, per usual.

And Romney's, as well:

Her going to a state which is without question a sponsor of terror, and having her picture taken with (Bashar) Assad and being seen in a headscarf and so forth is sending the wrong signal to the people of Syria and to the people of the Middle East.

It's a very bad idea to be carrying out a separate and independent foreign policy from the president of the United States. I just don't know what got into her head, to be completely honest with you. I think it was a huge, huge mistake.

It's good to see some Republicans landing a few well-placed blows against the Rats. It's about time.

That was my thought. Pelosi's a clown. Why would we want the Dems to replace her with someone who had better sense than to act like a clown? She's like Mad Howie Dean. Just the face I want the Dems to highlight.

Now if they wanted to replace her with Maxine Waters that would be a different story. Go Dems!

The Republicans keep getting expensive gifts, and all they do is tear off the paper, look at the gift, maybe utter an "OOOOOO", and play with the box.

Sheesh !

Plus .. Reid and others on the democrat side are using a “false premise” to bolster their cause.

They have claimed (and many left-wing rags concur) that the election in 2006 was a “repudiation of the President’s policy in Iraq”.

IT WAS NO SUCH THING!!! THE DEMOCRATS KNOW THAT but they’re just using that because they believe the public is too stupid to know the real reason - the democrats didn’t win - the republicans purposely stayed home!!

The dems didn’t win because REPUB VOTERS wanted to “cut and run” from Iraq. The dems won because some repubs thought it would be good “to teach the repubs a lesson” .. Geeeeeee .. then how come our military and the President and the public seem to be the ones getting treated to the “lesson” ..??

Reid gets his walking papers from the Daily Kos - and he has stated so. His daily phone conversation with Kos sends Reid off on some tangent every day. While only 3 months ago Reid was saying they would NOT withdraw funds from the military - just the other day Reid said he would propose a bill TO STOP ALL FUNDING OF THE WAR IN IRAQ. Can we assume this was the request of the Daily Kos ..?? I think so!

So .. some left-wing KOOK is driving the democrats - hopefully - he drives them right over the cliff!
