The leftists had a Climate Change Rally today in Old Town, Fort Collins, Colorado. The FReepers were there to help them with their event. Deer in the headlights, was their reaction when we unveiled our signs.......

It was a glorious sunny day in Old Town Fort Collins. FReepers weldgophardline, fire engine red, CardCarryingMemberVastRightWC, along with lurkers Jim and Mark, took the leftists to task at their Climate Change rally. The politicians were speaking and we were right there behind them wiht our signs...

More pictures and reports will be coming in from the rest of the FReepers, and it was a great time. The Democrats and Center for Peace and Justice were there to gather signatures to institute a CARBON TAX. That is their agenda! That is what global warming is all about.

We had some real moonbats come up and try to reason with us. One jr. high school student was telling us her public school does not have enough money and they would close her school without a Carbon Tax. She was totally shocked that we wouldn't sign her petition. We were probably the first people she ever met that didn't believe in Global Warming. LOL!She was clueless to the other side of the argument. The youth are just taking Al Gore's movie as fact. Most of the adults we spoke to were just as clueless, had never seen the movie "The Great Global Warming Hoax", and didn't know anything about sunspot activity. When asked about why Mars is warming, they just sputtered.

We had one rather confrontational man that just wouldn't leave us alone and tried to argue the entire leftist agenda with us. When he told me that our troops had killed 600,000 in Iraq I couldn't take it anymore. I said "You sir are a lier. I'm telling you to your face that you are a lier. What do you think of that!". He then proceed to leave me alone and move on to the other freepers. He got a lot more than he bargained for.

We had a great time in the warm sun, as yesterday it was snowing. God Bless Global Warming.

Great report and pictures. These people drive me crazy, I asked on bunch in Boise if they were going to track the amount of fuel used for their concert, and how they were going to make up for that carbon footprint. When I was told that they were “buying green credits”, I pointed out that they negated the sacrifices someone else made. Finally they are left with only the argument that I jsut don’t understand.

Regarding that last photo, of “bikes not bombs” sign. Some Moonbat here in Takoma Park, MD (a Nuclear-Free Zone, BTW) had a bumpersticker with that message on his car some years ago. My daughter, who was around five years old at the time, read the message out loud and then said, “Mom? Why does that guy want to drop bikes on our enemies?” I had to laugh.

Thanks for posting that link. I just watched the whole movie. This hysteria, the effectiveness of it, and the direction it is leading has been alarming me for sometime. It is heartening to see there are some people standing tall against the hurricane force of the global warming alarmist winds. The local paper covered the event on page B-1. Three photos of their side, including a huge photo (5 by 10 inches) of someone holding up "Where's Musgrave". And no photos of us. But we did get 2 lines of text: "About four people protested against the rally but left shortly after Kefalas' speech. The protesters said they had no comment for the Coloradoan." (There had actually been 5 of us but I had to leave around 1:35 for my daughter's piano recital.)
